This video is so good, so incredibly brilliant, solid and simple, that you will want to paste it all over your Facebooks and Twitters just to piss off all the IMBECILES who still claim that the Moon landings were faked.* The reason is simple: the technology to fake it didn't exist.

Any idiot with a $100 Tasco telescope can prove we've been to the moon.

I've never witnessed in person a nuclear explosion. I bet we've never split the atom!

Yeah that was great; I think he was speaking Greek most of the time but still great; and the point of all this... that bit at the end, also great.

So I went and got this $100 Tasco telescope and was looking at the moon.....

what am I looking for?

Not even the most powerful telescopes on earth can see enough detail of the moon landing sights to prove anything. I believe we were there and it happenned, but stating anyone can just get a crappy telescope and see it is about as retarded as saying it never happenned.

Same here. Excellent point about why we should care about debunking silly conspiracy theories.

That was worth watching. Guy has style.

I own an original Apollo program operations manual. It was a gift from a family friend that worked on the engineering of the LEM.
"Mooners" are almost as annoying as truthers.

Explain to me how Nasa couldn't of purchased 94 of the slow mo insta-replay solid state drives and chained them the all together? You wouldn't of needed one gigantic disk. Raid was around and used on mainframes back in those days.

Its why I do what I do in so many threads here.

Because people believing things for good reasons is important.

I think that they faked the moon landings, but the clever bit is that they used a set built on the moon; that way they could convincingly fake the effects of lower gravity and also leave fake evidence on the surface to fool people with telescopes.

Yeah.

They actually had a larger rocket than the saturn 5 that they used to get the fill crew up there.

No, RAID was not around in those days, not even remotely. Whomever told you that is so full of shit that their eyes are brown.

Well I'm not very technically-minded so I couldn't possibly comment on the details, but I guess that sounds about right.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting that.

Let's not forget there are mirrors on the moon that astronomers can bounce lasers off it and detect the returning beam.
They were placed there by Apollo astronauts

The guy ignores the real way NASA faked the moon landing. He is right that the technology did not exist to fake the moon landings in 1969. I doubt that it even exists today. NASA scientists realized this and arranged to fake the moon landings by shooting the film on location.

of course its all so clear now

My FIL wrote software for the LEM and even his own parents didn't think we went to the moon. One of the first times I was at his house, I was reading letters on the way...one from Colt for a first gen SAA he has, one from Winchester for some rifles he has, and one from Neil Armstrong. Holy cow!

We went to the moon with me and equipment, no doubt.

Getting them all sync'ed up and managing the switchover from machine to machine without showing visual artifacts would have been challenging. Wouldn't go so far as to say it couldn't have been done, but given the state of the art in electronics at the time it wouldn't have been easy.

BTW, those slow-mo machines weren't solid state drives, they were rotating magnetic disks recording analog signals. Think of a regular hard drive of very limited capacity recording analog rather than digital. The fact that these machines recorded analog would have made it particularly cumbersome to manage the sequential switchover of 94 machines.

Also, in 1969 I don't believe Raid drives existed (the first Raid patent was awarded in 1978). A 10MB (that's MB as in megabyte) drive would have been pretty large. Most storage was on magnetic tape.

Keep in mind, that computers were still using core memory at the time (look up core memory if you aren't familiar with the term).

Younger people have a tendency to assume a level of computer technology that simply was not available in the late 1960s. Even the best computers were extremely primitive by today's standards. The memory and computing power of a modern smartphone would have dwarfed the computer in the Lunar Module that landed on the moon (probably would even dwarf the combined computing power available to NASA at that time as well).

What about it?

Deadly if you hang around in it. Not deadly at all if you pass on through.

1. We brought back moon rocks, etc. Other countries scientists have examined them.

2. During the cold war the Soviets would have blown the whistle on us. They could track our rockets going there and back.
