I like him as-well but he'll never get the nod.

He doesn't understand the Constitution apparently...

His response to everything is "Bible" and "God".  Including things like "what are we having for dinner, Rick?" and "Do you need to go to the bathroom, Rick?"

He has no rational answers to serious questions, makes himself look like a ridiculous, dangerous zealot every time he opens his mouth, has no real policy other than his own little twisted interpretation of his chosen faith, couldn't care less about the Constitution, and generally helps Democrats look good and win elections.

The man needs to go back where he belongs, in some backwoods church handling snakes and babbling incoherently.  He hasn't shown an aptitude for anything more cogent.  In fact, every time he's tried to stretch himself beyond that, it's been a spectacular failure.

There are many reasons us conservatives in PA didnt vote for him when he was running for I think what was a third term, some of those reasons are listed by others here. Foremost for me, his faith guides every political decison he makes. He is a religous extremist.

No, he doesn't.  They love him.  Every time they poll against him these days, they come out on top by double digits.  Their candidates look highly competent and smart compared to his stupidity.  He's a lightning rod that draws independents and moderates to Santorum's Democrat opponents in droves, because he is one of the insane Bible-thumping Christian Dominionist politicians of today - something that only other Bible-thumpers (a tiny minority) want.

The man needs to get the fuck out of politics and stop helping the Democrats by way of merely showing up in the morning.

Bolded, for emphasis.

He's fucking nuts. He's pro-big government, just in a different way than the Democrats.
