Employers will often have their IT staff search URLs; this prevents setting off easily avoidable/major red flags.

When people search for "ar 15", this place comes up in several ways.
I'll go out on a limb here and say that we don't want search results turning up stuff like... "Check out my new fuckin' AR, man!!" or "Fuck these cheap ass scopes!!" or " My dick is dribbling like Lebron James, what should I do?" just a stretch, but that's my guess. |

I am just happy I can curse all I want in the body of the threads because in real life
I am not really allowed to curse. |

Why can we show a dude getting his melon popped by ISIS but bikini pics are a no go? It makes no fucking sense but we keep coming back, don't we?

My personal favorite is how it's ok to post the sickest gore imaginable but not women in bathing suits.

Our top poster is a penguin and you're worried about swearing

View Quote You've been here six years and never absorbed the answer to your question? For the thousandth time--people spend time here while at work, and also with others, such as children, who don't need to see unexpected images which are disturbing or sexual in nature. In today's world, having "girly pics"--OR GRAPHIC GORE--appear on one's screen unexpectedly can cause real life problems (that whole "hostile work place" thing) for them. In years past we allowed most things, other than actual nudity, to be posted. This lead to members attempting to "one up" each other with ever more graphic images, and also to insert them completely at random in threads. Members who didn't want to see them couldn't avoid them. In an attempt to accommodate this (there is no way to please everyone) we limited "girly pics" and graphic gore to only threads with a warning in the title. This made it easy to avoid them. The problem was it didn't work--with the girly pics. Violations were frequent and unrelenting. We warned, we locked, we posted tacked threads to draw attention, we tried everything. At some point we decided it wasn't fair to our volunteer mods to have to babysit grown folks to the degree it was occurring. Because of this we forbade girly pics in all areas of the site save the "BOTD forum." There hasn't been much of a problem with members acting as though they couldn't control themselves posting gory pics, though it does happen on occasion, and is easily/quickly dealt with. Gore pics posted randomly are NOT allowed, and are removed, and warnings issued. Repeats result in account locks. It is NOT a case of the site "preferring" graphic gore to boobs. We just couldn't get a handle on the latter. Things have gradually been loosened a little bit, but that will change back if it's abused. As to profanity, some members "cuss like a sailor" and some never say shit if they have a mouth full of it. There is no way to please both, so the compromise is what we have--no profanity in thread titles, avatars, sig lines, or forum titles, as those cannot be avoided. Once you enter a thread you are on your own. It's not perfect, but few things ever are. |

The fact that you fucking ask shows you have a lot of nerve.
