Because of this we forbade girly pics in all areas of the site save the "BOTD forum." There hasn't been much of a problem with members acting as though they couldn't control themselves posting gory pics, though it does happen on occasion, and is easily/quickly dealt with. Gore pics posted randomly are NOT allowed, and are removed, and warnings issued. Repeats result in account locks. It is NOT a case of the site "preferring" graphic gore to boobs. We just couldn't get a handle on the latter. Things have gradually been loosened a little bit, but that will change back if it's abused. As to profanity, some members "cuss like a sailor" and some never say shit if they have a mouth full of it. There is no way to please both, so the compromise is what we have--no profanity in thread titles, avatars, sig lines, or forum titles, as those cannot be avoided. Once you enter a thread you are on your own. It's not perfect, but few things ever are. |
