Just wonder here, I own one.

I know some people cant get them due to local laws/CLEO signoff.

Here I can basicly get whatever is legal and I can afford.

I have a couple and I am working on another two (In the not so distant future).. Money shouldn't be a factor when you can get an AOW for a $5 tax stamp provided you can legally own one...

The reason the .gov implemented the damn plan was to make it too expensive to own one.  Well, it's worked on me thus far.

Too much money.

Not enough places to shoot it around my area.

The local CLEO would laugh in my face.

It would be fun novelty at first, but then I would grow tired of it.  (Similar to being a boat owner.)

Even if I had the money, local laws prevent me from owning one. I have an out on that though, so really its just a money issue.

$2 or $3 a MONTH!

That's about what I pay per day!  Averaged out throughout the year, of course.

$2-$3 a month.  That's about 2 or three boxes of .22 Long Rifle.

The parts (RDIAS & RLL) don't in themselves cost much to manufacture and are not that complex to make myself, so I have to say it is the federal and state laws alone that prevent me.

I cant afford to buy one right now, and even if I had one in a cheap to shoot caliber, I would be hard pressed to feed it.

Right now, 1k of 9mm lasts me a little while, with a bullet hose, I'd go through that in a day... easy.

ETA: getting a sign off on the forms would be cake here

Didn't vote because my option isn't there:  basically too lazy to jump through the hoops right now and too lazy to research exactly what I need to do.  I've heard different things from different people so I'm too lazy to research the facts.  Someday I will...

Come shoot my Uzi with the .22 kit.  You'd be hard pressed to spend $10 (a box of Winchester Dynapoints).  Or we can put in my SubCal practice ammo barrel.  The special ammo for this is $30 per case of 864 rounds (plus shipping) - that's more than 34 mags worth of blasting fun!  Who says full auto has to be expensive?

Money.

And local laws.

And don't want stuff

What I can afford and want (suppressors) MO won't allow me to have.  The other stuff I can afford (AOW / SBR) does not hold my interest.  What I really want, I can't afford (MGs)

I think money is the biggest barrier (isn't it always).  Although the hassle of transfers is a real headache too.
