they must have bought a shit load of them or something. But everytime i go into the store they want to sell me a XD.
Oh a custom 1911 no you want a XD in 9mm isn't this thing cool???

the XD fits my hand better, and I can't hit shit with a glock, yet I can shoot well with an XD, not as good as my 1911 though.

ask them if they know where they are made, I swear to god I had an attendant tell me the springfield XD was made in the USA, just like their 1911s.
she shut the hell up when I showed her the proof as to otherwise. |

Why else? Springfield is making ass loads of money on these things.
They're VERY popular in IDPA and IPSC. The HS2000 used to go for $299. Now they're up there in price with their main competition (Glock). ETA: The XDs are made in Croatia - all of them. Also - Springfield's 1911 frames (which enter the country as forgings) are made by IMBEL in Brazil. |

I haven't had any personal experience with them but I have heard good things about them from those who have used them. I looked at one briefly at a gun show Saturday and to me it seemed really thick and chunky. I would like to shoot one just to see how it felt. Right now I am partial to Glocks. Yes I said it, I like Glocks.

I was never happy with my XD, didnt care for sites and other features, sold it awhile back.
