Like Alley Oop. Does anyone read that? What the hell is it about? But since I was a kid it has been in every paper, taking up space.

I thought this thread would be about "Family Circus".

What a fucking waste of ink.

I hate Mark Trail.

Absolute worst comic ever.

I never got Andy Capp as a kid, or as an adult.

Absolutely nothing generates more hate mail to a newspaper than dropping a comic strip. More than one paper has dropped something like Nancy or Gasoline Alley and been forced to bring it back because of a deluge of complaints. The Cleveland Plain Dealer shitcanned some strips a few years back, and they made a huge production of it. I don't like seeing reruns of Peanuts either, but newspapers are in a precarious position right now and will do anything to avoid alienating an increasingly small base of subscribers.
