If you care about protecting your car, why didn't you park by the curb so you only had one open side?
I wonder if the OP is upset becuase they parked within the lines, or if he's upset that the car next to his was also one of the last cars in the parking lot left and just so happened to be right next to his?
because they are assholes. I try to park far away because I don't mind walking and I don't want dents. I have a 2005 Z71 with zero dents. I would like to keep it that way.
Granted, they are free to park where they want, I think its a dick move. |
I get ya OP.
I park out also, I don't mind a walk. Come back out and my truck looks like it's in a football huddle. |

The grindr ad said "White Tundra", it didn't list the license plate.

Hate that shit.
I always park way out some some fucktard doesn't ding the charger and 8 out of 10 times some fucker will park right next to me and ignore the sea of open spot. Herd mentality |

LOL!!!
I read a really good article in "Psychology Today" decades ago that talked about the response of Women who,......(if they were sitting in an almost empty bus terminal) reacted negatively when a man sat next to them VS Ladies who had guys sit next to them in VERY crowded waiting rooms. Creepers gonna creep.... |

You're not alone. I, too, don't know why people buy purple cars...

Because you're a sheepdog...a protector of the innocent, a guardian of the weak.
They wanted to feel safe and wrapped up in your protective embrace. |

Same reason why if you're the only in the movie theater, someone will sit right in front of you.
You chose the best spot, they took the second best spot. |
Teach him a lesson. Put a preemptive door ding on his before he puts one on yours.

It's a chick car so maybe she thought you were cute?
Or she was just showing you what it looks like when you don't leave your ass hanging out in the aisle. |
What's the issue?
I always park next to people who park way out or taking up multiple spots. Your car isn't special. |
My guess is that they know you care about your ride enough to park out there, if they park next to you will take care near their car
I usually park far away from others if I am going in to buy something awkward or bulky that might bang into a car next to me during loading. I try my best but I can't control where other people park.

Probably the same type of guy that doesn't put his cart away because he has better things to do with this time.
If they did anything more overt they would get their asses kicked. This makes them feel tough without actually having to be tough.

This is how you deal with it

True story....guy I knew many years ago parked his truck way out in the back of a lot....not a car in sight near him. We go into the store...get what we need...head back out and see out in the distance that a car was parked right next to his truck. We get to the truck...the car is parked so close I can't even open the passenger door. Then he notices that there is a ding in his truck from the cars door. My buddy flips out...goes into his tool box, pulls out his dewalt drill, and proceeds to drill a few holes through the door of the car.
I can't condone what he did...but I understood his frustration. Perfect example of playing stupid games with the wrong, unstable guy. |
I always pick spots furthest away from the entrance. I don't mind longer walk and to avoid fuckheads like that.
That very thing still happens from time to time. |

Creepers gonna creep.... View Quote I went to a doctors appointment last year and the waiting room was empty. What does some jackass do? He checks in with the receptionist, comes and sits right next to me. Not one or two seats away but right fucking next to me. I got up and moved to the other side of the room and he gives me a mean look. Last year the wife and I went to a drive-in movie, the lot was mostly empty so we park in a decent spot away from everyone else and right when the movie starts someone pulls right up next to us. I started up the truck and we moved a good distance away. He looked at us like we stomped his puppy into a red smear. Several years ago, I had a guy standing so close behind me in line I could feel his breath on my neck. I asked him to back up and he got all butthurt. He got too close to me again so I turned around pushed him back away from me one arms length and told him to "STAY". I faced him and stayed facing him till he got the message. What the fuck is wrong with people have they not heard of personal space?? |

I don't know why they do that. Seen it lots of times though, camping, fishing, at the beach, etc.
