I saw a picture posted here. (Taken from a helicopter) It showed an AR with a GI mag lying on the ground. (Contrary to reports of a beta mag) I don't think that we have an official report yet, and if so it's not public.

You need to do more research. There was jamming, but it was one of many magazines that he had giving him problems. The photo of his body included an AR with a regular magazine in it (as opposed to one of the poorly working 60+ round ones he tried to use). Yes, there are some odd questions still open about the case however "an AR was used" is not up for discussion. The initial thread in it here has a whole bunch of information for you to review. One of the Aurora survivors made a youtube video and showed his scars, which were unmistakably from a shotgun. He even said he was hit by a blast from a shotgun.
I was watching Obama's press conference when he announced the 23 actions he is taking and he acknowledged this same survivor in the audience. |

According to unconfirmed info I've found, he fired about 7 to 8 rounds from the Remington 870 first, with the first shot into the ceiling. Then he fired about thirty rounds from the AR15 until it jammed, and then he switched to the Glock 22 and fired three magazines through that.
