Comparing the two side by side, I didn't really see why they would have made them incompatible. It'd be pretty cool if both models could be fed by the same pile of mags.

I guess nobody else thinks about such things.

It's a profit thing, man.

Because then you wouldn't feel compelled to buy several more mags at $40 a pop

Alternatively, they had to tool up for a second line of mags and they've missed potential sales.

If the PX4 used 92 mags, I'd buy at least one.

Yep... Same reason Sig P2022 pistols don't use P226 mags I bet.

Disregard, I'm retarded. Thought you mean the carbine.

And the PX4 is such a turd. Looks like shit, points like shit, has nice hand shredders attached to the slide for extra tactical injury.

Different strokes I guess.

I wish they had too. MDS mags are a little cheaper than factory and work just as well, they're what I'm stocking up on.

I've thought the same thing myself. PX4 mags are not cheap! Glad I got mine for free from Beretta during a promotion they had.

Glock: 17 & 34 -> 19 -> 26 mags compatible.

S&W: M&P 9 -> 9c mags compatible.

CZ: SP01 -> 75 & 85 -> P01 mags compatible.

Beretta: Nope.

Beretta were just dicks about it.

The mag body's are the same but the release 'slots' are in different locations so it won't lock in place.

If you got handy with a dremel you could make em work and they'd work in both guns, but.....
Only company I can 'forgive' for doing that sort of thing for is HK, because the full double stack mags in the USP were ungodly wide, and the HK45 mags are much thinner, but you can still use the HK45 mags in the HK45c and the P2000 mags in the P30 and P30L etc.... so they kept the ability to use mags in their newer line of handguns.

I bought some 92 mags cheap and measured them against the PX4 mag. PX4 locking slot is a few thousandths higher than 92. So I took a Dremel grinder with a small disc and opened the slot upward to match the PX4. Voila.  Works great - tested at range.

And how does that effect their ability to fit in 92s?
