Because, I haven't had a block of two or more hours free for the past two and a half months during a time that my local range was open. The range is owned by the state, and it's only open about 21% of the week. The few times that I've walked there, carrying two rifles, ammo, targets, etc., it was closed while it was supposed to be open. It's getting frustrating.z

Took the g/f to the {indoor} range yesterday soas we could shoot our 9mm's. Otherwise it is 13 days 'till Firearms Deer Season in Missouri. I do not go to outdoor ranges just before deer Season Gawd, save me from the dangerous idiots at the range before deer season! You know the type!

I am member of 2 ranges. One now closes at 3pm due to IL deer season and one here in MO is full of deer hunters sighting in. I like to go to shoot about 3:30 on Sundays. It is some fun watching some of these guys sighting in rifles with scopes as I shoot same or LONGER ranges with open sights with M1 or AR. I like to shoot when you dont have to get in line.

Got up early this morning, woke up the two pals sleeping on various couches, drove about an hour picked up one more buddy and let it fly! Pumped 1100 rounds of .223 through my M15A4(T), 150 rounds through my P229, 250 rounds through my IMI Uzi, 80 12 ga. rounds, and I can't remember how many rounds they pur through their muzzleloader, turkey gun, 30-30, Glock 22, KelTec P40, 1911. Blew up 6 pumpkins, 4 watermelons, bunch of 2 liters filled with Jell-O, numerous paper targets and my buddy even brought his old microwave. (we were at his range)

Why am I not at the range today?? I was at a tournament. A fencing tournament, on the National Circuit. Now, I'm not really competing in the National Circuit, it was just local, so I went. I did fairly well, and was defeated in my second direct elmination bout by one of the best fencers there, last year's Mexican National Champion. I could tell I was gettin under her skin because I put up a good fight and wouldn't let her get the touches she wanted.. hehehe... feels good, that me, an unranked peon in the fencing world held her off for a while! So, the range day will be next Sunday likely. My nephew turns 1 on Friday, so we're having his birthday party on Saturday. I'm itchin to shoot my new AR

I worked 13 hours last night and am working 12 tonight. It would have been no problem to drive the 1.5 miles to the farm, but this is early black powder weekend and I'd hate to tick off the guys we let hunt there-------[50]
