WTF is going on? What do they have to gain by poking the bear? This could get really bad.

Russia isn't pro globalization, Russia is pro Russia, globalists don't like that.

Maybe if this bear got poked the way it should, it will start behaving. The worse thing we can do is let that little, sniveling, punk Putin get away with the stuff he's done. Believe me, if he had interceded on behalf of Hillary and she had won, EVERYONE on this site would be calling for his head....and rightfully so. He did this only because he thinks we lack the balls to do something about it; and gauging by the reaction to many posting on this site, he's right.

Well my theory is many of the current leaders want a globalized economy/government, now with life so good for most people
nobody wants to support and will fight change.

How do you change their minds?? you take away their comfort and show them your cause (one world Government) will return them to their
care free life again.

How do these leaders accomplish this? limited WW3 scenerio...leaders on both sides decide which parts of their country cause the most
resistance, then take out said pockets of said resistance on all sides. Once the small nuke exchange is complete, both sides start recovery and
sign a peace accord vowing this kinda of horror will never face mankind again.

With this said we the leaders of the countries of planet Earth will for a new Alliance know as the Global Leadership Initiative.

Sounds crazy right? when the cable, starbucks and internet is gone, most people will accept anything to get it all back. and just the thought of seeing
the devistation of just a few small nuke exchanges between nations will make them accept anything to prevent it.

Laugh if you want, but it could be done on a level that would allow everyone to recover and be under control of this one world government
and eventually a one world economy/currency.

Quite simple really. War = power, and more specifically power consolidation.

It's the last resort of despots, when all else has failed, to obtain and maintain power.

Yep. There is still an authoritarian element with the Russians.

However, that is not Russia's biggest sin in the eyes of the Democrats and the Left in the US and the West.

Russia's biggest sin in their eyes is that they are no longer Communist.

This. There is a backlash currently going on against globalism and the oligarchs are freaking out because they are losing control of 70+ years of building their hegemony, they need a new Cold War to divide the globalists from the antis.

It's interesting, the more people you force to see things your way is directly proportionate to how miserable people become.

We fought a Revolutionary War against a government that was an ocean away. What do you think will happen when one culture that cannot identify with its host represents its district from afar?

George Soros and other of his type with big plans and good intentions are indirectly going to make people miserable and angry.

After it's all said and done, some will say with tears in their eyes that they meant well and did not expect the final outcome.

We will then go back to sovereign nations that emphasize our cultures and differences.

Rinse/repeat.

This. Putin is trying very hard to break up alliances that he feels threatens him. He'd love to see the EU and NATO disintegrate, as they (and we as well) are the ones putting sanctions on him for expanding into the Ukraine and Crimea. He wasn't so much "pro-Trump" as much as he was "anti-Hillary". Whatever grief the US has given him has been at her hands as Sec. Of State. He knew she would be a pain in the a for him and his expansionist ideas.

You sound like a fake member, but...ok, what poking should we do exactly? Our position in Syria is horrible and has has brought in the Russians; are we any better in this matter? Russia was carpet bombing eastern aleppo, an unquestionable war crime.

The left still has ideas about 'responsibility to protect' that require a western military response to genocide.

Which is a nice idea in theory, and would work great in a place like Rwanda, but really falls to pieces when a nuclear power with a freshly-installed completely modern IADS is doing the killing.

An Associated Press analysis of Clinton Foundation donations between 2001 and 2015 showed governments and agencies from 16 nations previously gave direct grants of between $55 million and $130 million. Those governments include the six nations that will be allowed to continue donating. The remaining 10 are Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Kuwait, Italy, Brunei, Taiwan and the Dominican Republic.

This exactly. Redirect focus from the criminal acts of the Obama administration, Clinton's/CF and DNC. This is a standard go-to in their playbook, just like Benghazi was caused by a YouTube video. That was complete and utter lie, and so is this current discourse about the Russian's contrived involvement.

If they had hard evidence and real facts, they would have leaked them already. But they don't, and that's why the intelligence community refused to show up this week at the Congressional oversight hearings. They will claim OpSec, can't reveal sources, etc., but that means they got nothing concrete whatsoever but a fabricated narrative they are going to ride.

Democrats don't take foreign policy seriously. What they care about is domestic control--bigger government, unconstrained government, and them in charge.

They are placing blame on Russia because they don't want to blame themselves, and they want to focus anger. Not on Russia, but on Trump.

http://www.redstate.com/streiff/2016/12/16/russians-helped-trump-story-hogwash/

Quotes:

Except we know that is utter hogwash. The investigation into the DNC hack determined that is was more likely than not a Russian hacking group that had an extensive history. They were recognized by some to the sloppiness of their work, not by their sophistication. And we no for a fact that the only “tool” used to hack Podesta’s email was the tool who told him a transparent phishing attack was a legitimate email.

Another claim made by the same unnamed source was that the RNC was hacked but their email was not released. In fact, the FBI did a forensic analysis of the RNC server while investigating the DNC hack and found that it was not compromised. This, by the way, supports exactly what the RNC has been saying: that attacks were made on their email server but were not successful.
View Quote

Recall Clinton's server was hacked by 5 foreign agencies yet her emails were never released:

The most important evidence is actually laying in plain sight. If one had to point to a single event that cut into Clinton’s already epic unpopularity it was her email scandal. In fact, her people, in addition to blaming the Russians, the phase of the the moon, partriarchy, and global warming for her defeat are also blaming FBI Direct James Comey’s letter to Congress shortly before the election. If one subscribes to the theory that the Russians were actively hacking stuff and trying to help Trump then one has to explain why her emails were never released.

He didn't really intercede on behalf of Trump per se though. All the Russians are even accused of doing is hacking Podesta's emails (which I'm sure they did, which I'm sure the Chinese/Iranians/Norks/others also did, and I'm sure Podesta isn't the only one--it's called espionage, specifically in this case cyberespionage, it's a thing and it happens to be exactly why Hillary's email setup was such a big deal in the first place) and then leaking said emails to Wikileaks (possible, but far from definite).

The media is being deliberately misleading in reporting this story because they want people to think the Russians directly hacked the voting machines and manipulated the vote counts themselves....but that isn't the case and would've been impossible unless they had agents with physical access to enough of the voting machines to swing the election (technically possible, but extraordinarily unlikely, especially if they cared about not getting caught).

At absolute most, the Russians leaked true information that was embarrassing to Hillary. IE, exactly what whoever leaked Trump's Access Hollywood tape did.

The Podesta hacking wasn't sophisticated.

Five foreign agencies penetrated Clinton's server and the emails were not leaked.

If Russia wanted to help Trump it could have--by leaking the Clinton emails.

Just a thought.....

Dems generally don't have a lot of real-world military knowledge. They also tend to have overly-exaggerated images of self. They tend to think inside of their echo-chamber box and refuse to accept that others may play by different rules.

In this case, they may believe that, because of absolute American military superiority (their media-inspired belief), the bear will back down. They can't accept any other outcome. Because of this, they feel safe making threats and tossing out ultimatums. They simply cannot accept that Russia would NOT back down. And this is why Hillary would have doomed us all.
