There are more conservatives in this country, than liberals. Yet they keep beating us because even those scum sucking, welfare sponges, don't split their vote! These people who feel they're taking the moral high road by not voting R, are not seeing the big picture. Dems must lose, and it doesn't matter to who. If third party had the best chance then by all means, do it. The thing is they don't have the best chance do they. We got Dan fucking Coats to vote for here in IN. Why? Because he made it through the primaries, and it sucks dick, but it's too late now. His opponent votes the D party line 89% of the time. Even if Coats toes the line only half of the time, he's still going to vote with the D's 40% less than Ellsworth. Why the hell would you help the democrat by splitting the vote? You won't teach these politicians anything, most of them are set for life anyway, and definitely won't suffer like we will under another round of democrats. At best they will be irritated, while the rest of us are getting assfucked by more democrat legislation. We can replace RINO's next time around. We must get the democrats out of power this time or we will be too fucked to ever fix the damages those assholes are creating.

yes, Repubs are infested with Progressives, and the Progressives have taken over the Dems completly.

but, Conservatives can take the Repubilcan Party in the next two to four years if we focus, come together and get active
go to county and state meetings, let the people know NO MORE, ENOUGH and Change us BACK!

we need to do more than vote....we need to motivate, activate and enounciate what we Conservatives want...

I for one wouldn't join the current "Tea Party". There are currently 100 versions of it and many contradict each other.

Because there is an inherent flaw in a dual party system expressed in the fact that all they really do is change polarity every 4-8 years.

The Tea Party / Green Party / Underwear party / Split voters aren't new, its a reflection of the larger and larger numbers of voters who are putting themselves down as un-enrolled or independent and voting for the candidate rather than the party much like a gentleman told them to do many years ago:

I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.

This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it. It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.

Never do what your enemy wants you to. By doing so, you play into his hands.

The elections are ours to lose. By voting third party, we MIGHT.

Every election is the "lesser of two evils".

This is always true when describing the candidates, and is often the case when analyzing the potential RESULT of the vote.

Casting your vote into a hole of self-absorption, when the fate of the Country hangs in the balance of that election, is by for more "evil" than voting for someone who is imperfect.

In some cases, and as indicated in this thread, many are hoping that things will go downhill faster, ushering in their beloved "SHTF". Anyone who hopes for SHTF/TEOTWAWKI is a Sociopath.

EXACTLY!!!

Looks like the (R)s had better remove about 10-15 percent of RINO in-breds and then "WE" as a party/country might get somewhere! (OK, if we got 8% it would be a great start...)

This is a CLASSIC example of "local politics/acceptance" having a national meaning... Tancredo got in because he "had to" vs. this idiot. Before the BS flies, I'm now an Independent voter, would've had no influence on primaries (w/ any type of personal integrity), and it's due to the hard-core RINOs.

CO has bulldozed Maes (R) for being an unacceptable moron; F*** playing checkers or chess.

Regardless, I'd much rather fight Hicken-Pooper as a known enemy than "settle" w/ this (R) choice, plus Hick knows he'll be watched because he's outside of the confines of DEN/Manitou Springs.

Perhaps you missed it. If you think Alito/Roberts/Scalia/Thomas are the same as McCain, then maybe I better understand where you're coming from. You'd also be ignorant. I'm assuming that's not the case.

The Republicans are the SAME as Democrats in this way: They both want to take power from the states, and the people, and keep it for themselves. Most are whores and will vote for ANYTHING that will keep themselves in office. They don't give two loose shits about freedom or you and me. (I SAID Most of 'em) Again, the Republicans just do it slower than the Democrats.

You described SOME of the Justices as being "Socialist".
You described others as being "Conservative/Libertarian".

We absolutely NEED "Conservative/Libertarian" Justices if we want to safeguard the Constitution.
Without them, things such as "ObamaCare" will get a rubber stamp.

How can the appointment of a "Socialist" Justice be stopped?

Each election has a result.

Well it can't be stopped until 2012, either way. The president picks the Justices, and if Kagan and Sotomayor can get confirmed, I don't think anything you do will stop whoever's next.
