Every form of consumer media (albums, dvds, game titles) is released on Tuesdays because someone somewhere decided to ship everything on Monday.

Yup. Why would they release a movie you want to watch on Friday, when they can do it Tuesday so you watch it, and then Friday you can go to the theater and see something new? |

The weekend nights are date nights. Women want "to go out" and men are stupid enough to entertain them. DVDs are released on Tuesdays because it is at the opposite end of the week spectrum from Friday. Kind of like how taxes are due at the near opposite end of the year from Election day. |
