I'm 36 in good shape and heathly, 5'11" 175 lbs, I run and workout 5-6 x a week. But lately for the past year or so get so I get really tired sometimes for no reason.
It seems like 7-8 hours of sleep isn't enough and I sleep very soundly also and no problems getting it up too. Low T perhaps or I need a full blood work up, maybe I'm turning teh ghey? In before Cool Story, Bro |

You're old.
Just be glad you can still do normal stuff without breaking your hip or needing an oxygen tank. |

I think you need to eat a whole block of cheese and you will feel better.

Quoted: Sleep apnea? my former GF never heard me snore or stop breathing for a few seconds. |
|
If you snore, it's sleep apnea most likely. Have your blood checked to make sure you're not hypothyroid.

Sleep apnea? my former GF never heard me snore or stop breathing for a few seconds. You don't have to snore or stop breathing. It could be obstructive and you are breathing okay, but just not getting enough air in. What, she sits up all night and watches? |
|
Quoted: Do you drink? not enough but seriously just a few on the weekends. |
|
Low blood count. If not for that I would have had my knee replacement on July 22 but it will be tomorrow! Thinking about writing a diary here to keep the sadistic entertained.

Brain tumor well that does explain 99% of my irrelevant post on ARFCOM Happened to me a few years ago. Always tired, then kept feeling weaker and weaker. Then nautious and dizzy. Brain tumor it was attatched to my cerebellum. Once removed I was fine. Then last year I had Low Test levels and my doctor fixed that with androgel. |

Sounds like death is knocking at your door. I would get a full body scan and medical work up done.

Get checked for Lyme's or any other tick related illness.
I had a tick related illness a few years ago. I was exhausted!! It literally felt like I was sinking into the ground when I walked. Definitely go see a DR and get some tests run. |

Go get some bloodwork done, it will answer questions that nobody here can (without the rusults at least). Could be a host of things, from poor sleep, thyroid issues to depression. Only the blood will tell.
ETA: Your my age, so let me know what it is. |

It may be psychologically induced (pschosematic? I forget the word). If you have stress from work, or otherwise don't know how to properly vent your aggression, it will literally eat you up inside. In other words, despite what touchy-feely pussies nowadays say, you can't eliminate anger/aggression. It's always there, and you have to know how to deal with it. Learn how to yell at people (where appropriate), swear more, exercise, punch the wall, etc. Put another way, stop being a giant vagina. (See? That made at least me feel better. ) |

Blood sugar...thyroid...
Maybe you are not sleeping well....no REM sleep.....Your are at the age where your Melatonin levels are beginning to drop..... try taking it s a supplement before you go to bed. My wife has been taking it for about 20 years now. It makes a big difference in her life. |

Sleep Apnea.. Weight or fitness level doesn't matter. This - Talk to your doctor about it. |

Provided you are gettting enough sleep, and we can rule that out as a cause, then:
- Make sure you get enough protein in your diet. - Vitamins. - Eat a banana. It will give you a better natural energy boost than any "energy drink" on the market. - Sounds like you have the exercise thing covered. Just mentioning it here to remind folks that being out of shape will contribute to chronic fatigue. - If fatigue is chronic or severe, see your doctor to rule out some of the medical conditions which can cause this, a few of which are mentioned above. |
|
do you drink soda or coffee?
dehydration will sap your energy faster than anything, and many people are dehydrated without knowing it. cut out unnecessary sugars and caffeine from your diet. Drink lots of water and only water. |
