They got it from the 60s impalas, they thought the impala looked like a donkey which got shortened to donk. Technically its called a box since it is a 80s boxy look, but who cares the original look lifted look came from the impalas. |

They're called "Donks" because a certain model/vintage of sedan, when viewed from the rear has a shape that in some odd way vaguely resembles a donkey's ass.
