making him tired, emotionally drained, and short tempered, should be fired, period. Bush should have spent the day resting and preparing, and visited victims today instead.

I dunno, guys.

I spoke with my 90 year old grandmother this morning.

Somehow through her sewing circle or whatnot, she heard that "the president was out helping the hurricane victims while John Kerry was getting a manicure."

Also, remember that G.H.W.B. lost florida, at least according to election polls, because folks perceived him as being too busy campaigning to help them and to take stock of the hurricane that had hit in 1992 down there. (So the "whoever" you're talking about could well be his own dad!).

Think how much of a field day the Dem's would have had if the Pres. spent a day in FL just a few miles away and did not visit. He IS the Pres. and that is his job. That showed more character than anything.

I think he should have come in around 6:00 last night. He should have spent today with them. I would have liked to see him open with a statement that he had been there X times in the past weeks and he will be touring with the FEMA director in the morning to see what more could be done to help those who have faced so much as of late.

But there is a bigger issue at play that we need to remind people of constantly. Kerry has spent the last year campaigning and has been either too self-centered to do the job he was elected to do, or he simply is not capable of being both a serving Senator and a candidate... yet Bush is fighting in two nations, working to rebuild the economy, protect the nation versus another terrorsit attack, tending to the nation's wounds from natural disaster after another... and still find time to run a winning campaign for re-election.

Yeah, Bush is tired... that's what happens when you are being president and not windsurfing or getting spray-on tans.

+1 His first job is being President. Campaigning has to come second.
