I see what you did there.

Fireworks and good deal never belong in the same sentence.

Though I heard there were some good Groupon deals to be had this year/

Thought about picking up a Popo Magnet as well. Around here it isn't officially The 4th until the cops show up.

Any extra safety measures anyone care to share with things like these 36 shot cubes? I've started putting my mortars inside cinder blocks to keep them from tipping. These damn cubes scare the hell outta me, hopping around with each shot.

Guess cinder blocks on all 4 sides would do the trick.

I always screw the mortar tubes to a big piece of plywood.  Too many "fallen over" tubes causing chaos.

We used to get those hard cardboard tubes, drop big ass sky rockets in them and shoot them like RPGs. Because America and stuff. Cops came once because of it.

The big cubes are usually pretty stable.

I like your cinder block idea. I might go that route this year.

Yeah,  the mortar can only tip so far, inside a cinder block. I've actually filled the block up with sand once the mortar tube was inside the block.. No way in hell it's moving any that way.

I was at a4th party once where a neighbor called about the fireworks.

Well the officer showed up and left after eating a few ribs as the party was filled with cops and firefighters including the chief of the police dpt and other higher ups in the dpt.

I guess the neighbor called the dpt a few more times bitching and the chief grabbed a hotdog and walked over to the house with the assistant fire chief and told the person complaining that they were doing training lol
