The very last one isn't out yet.  Should be released sometime around November/December of this year.  I can't believe the story is finally gonna end.    Roland is my hero.

He was also in King's 'Eye of the Dragon', as a sorcerer who had the weak king in thrall.

I believe he has appeared in other King novels as well, or at least similar characters with the initials RF.

I can't get my mind off Dagny Taggart, with those transparent white blouses and thin, lithe body of hers.  I can see her now, bosom swaying gentle with the rhythm of the train car, her cheeks raised by a soft smile, and rosy with the wine, as she capitalistically seduces me.

Try tomorrow. That's right, boys and girls, The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower gets put out on the shelves tomorrow.

As for Randal Flagg's numerous names...

Walter O'Dim (the Man in Black)
Richard Fannin

and a smattering of others..

Sheesh.. Y'all would know this if you went to thedarktower.net once in a while. And please, register for the forums there and get the requisite 50 posts to get into the "Anything Else" section. The international community of liberals there is sucking the life out of me.

He was described as an apostate of Satan - the same term used to describe the nanny in "The Omen."  I can only assume this refers to the pseudo-biblical belief that Satan was a fallen angel.  In this sense, he serves as the opposite for the the old woman who was a follower of God.

God and Satan are not personally present.

Oops, memory failed me. The artist was a relative, but I'd switched around the names. There was a Randy in the family which threw me.

Now that I think about it, Randall Flagg is some sort of continuing character in the Stephen King books, or some other author. I haven't read his books, but I've run across the 'nom de plume' online for years and I think asked about it once. Is that the right answer?

I hope you aren't asking me - I have no clue other than his name is used in 'The Stand" and from what the other characters refer to him as - as per an earlier post.

Heck, I only knew who painted the recruiting poster because I was looking right at it as I read your post.

I have not read any Steven King books with his name in them - then again, I have read very few Stephen King books.

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly an "apostate of Satan" is.

I think thats toward the end of The Gunslinger, I could be mistaken though. Hes probably one of the more interesting enemies in SK books.

ANTHRAX - Among The Living

Disease, Disease
Spreading the disease
With some help from Captain Trips
He'll bring the world down to his knees
Power, yes Power
He'll show them all his power
It pulses through his ice cold blood
A whole world to devour

[PRE-CHORUS:]
He's seeing, He's calling
His legacy, He's spawning
He's coming, corrupting
Among the living

Murder, Murder
Commit cold blooded murder
Like Nazis during World War Two
They only follow orders
Hatred, Hatred
A crucifix is your bed
Once he turns his eye on you
You'd be better off dead

[REPEAT PRE-CHORUS]

[CHORUS:]
I am the walkin' dude
I can see all the world
Twist your minds with fear
I'm the man with power
Among the living
Follow me or die

Man, fights Man
Divided they can't stand
United they can battle back
And make him force his hand
Fear, yes Fear
His end is growing near
He didn't count on man's good faith
And their will to persevere

[REPEAT PRE-CHORUS]
[REPEAT CHORUS]

[LEAD BREAK]

Fire, hot Fire
Purge the world with fire
Damnation is the price he'll pay
For an evil man's desire
Good, vs. Evil
The stand to vanquish evil
Man can only live one way
That place right in the middle

[REPEAT PRE-CHORUS]
[REPEAT CHORUS]

AMONG
