ask John Galt. If we ever figure out who HE is... Doublefeed?
Tree-fiddy? |
... you give it to him? damn, now we'll never get rid of him... |
Wasn't he the main character in Alas Babylon who took charge of the town after the nuclear war?
I'm sorry, what were you saying? |
The very last one isn't out yet. Should be released sometime around November/December of this year. I can't believe the story is finally gonna end. Roland is my hero. "First come the smiles, then come the lies, last is gunfire" "I deal in lead" |

He was also in King's 'Eye of the Dragon', as a sorcerer who had the weak king in thrall. I believe he has appeared in other King novels as well, or at least similar characters with the initials RF. |
He's really CID. He only says he's CIA to make people think he's NSA.

The artist who drew the "Uncle Sam Wants You" artwork (finger pointing version). Also a relative of a kid I knew in my teens.
The next one(last one) comes out tomorrow sept 21. I think it is called "The Dark Tower" link says published sept 21 |
I have Atlas Shrugged on tape. Her voice is done by a man! |
Try tomorrow. That's right, boys and girls, The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower gets put out on the shelves tomorrow. As for Randal Flagg's numerous names... Walter O'Dim (the Man in Black) Richard Fannin and a smattering of others.. Sheesh.. Y'all would know this if you went to thedarktower.net once in a while. And please, register for the forums there and get the requisite 50 posts to get into the "Anything Else" section. The international community of liberals there is sucking the life out of me. |
And I know what happens to you, but I'm not tellin'. |
The Walkin' Dude was shown to be a demon-posessing a 'normal' man in the Stand.
Randall Flagg has been in many SK novels including the Dark Tower series. Always as a truly bad dude, but not as bad as the devil...just a demon with visions of grandeur. |
We have one here by that name. He likes to shoot cats and caused all sorts of fuss. I think he is a troll account of one of the regulars.
He referred to himself as "the farthest minion of the Dark Tower." |

I am Randall Flag and I'm pissed! angry walkin dude = the walking dude
That was James Motgomery Flagg, as it is clearly signed on the print staring at me from my wall. |
"and about that time i looked up and damn if that weren't no devil at all but a 30 storie high reptile from the paleolithic area...thats right boys and girls it was the goddamm lock ness monster and you went and gave him tree fitty..." |
He was described as an apostate of Satan - the same term used to describe the nanny in "The Omen." I can only assume this refers to the pseudo-biblical belief that Satan was a fallen angel. In this sense, he serves as the opposite for the the old woman who was a follower of God. God and Satan are not personally present. |
Shit, I'm glad I am not the only one! Dagny Taggart-Schwing! |
Close: Randy Bragg. Jay |
sigh........ |
Oops, memory failed me. The artist was a relative, but I'd switched around the names. There was a Randy in the family which threw me. Now that I think about it, Randall Flagg is some sort of continuing character in the Stephen King books, or some other author. I haven't read his books, but I've run across the 'nom de plume' online for years and I think asked about it once. Is that the right answer? |
<-------- clearly a Tower fan.
I hope you aren't asking me - I have no clue other than his name is used in 'The Stand" and from what the other characters refer to him as - as per an earlier post. Heck, I only knew who painted the recruiting poster because I was looking right at it as I read your post. I have not read any Steven King books with his name in them - then again, I have read very few Stephen King books. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly an "apostate of Satan" is. |
I think thats toward the end of The Gunslinger, I could be mistaken though. Hes probably one of the more interesting enemies in SK books. |
