Bush 1 had just banned importation of several "assault weapons" as a gesture to the Dems.
Ross said he did not care if a law abiding citizen owened a missle launcher.

I thought Bush would win by a landside over Clinton, so I voted for the most pro-gun of the bunch.  Got stuck with Clinton for 8 years.

Worst vote I ever did.  Still kick myself in the ass over it.  I'll never vote 3rd party again.  Just pull a straight Republican ticket every time.

In1996 when it was clear that Dole wasn't going to win.  I was disgusted with the GOP because it was clear from the start that Dole would be a shitty candidate and he was too much of an accomodationist in the Senate.

1992 GHWB all the way.

He learned the lesson, though. Sorry it cost us 8 years......

Yes, but I'm in Alaska, the damage was minimized.  Stupid 18 year old mistake.

No I did not.  I did vote for George Wallace though.  By the time Ross Perot came around I out grew the protest vote thing.  hinking.gifhinking.gifhinking.gif

I wasnt old enough, but had I been I would have voted for Perot.

I think he could have won if he hadnt pulled that little stunt about dropping out then coming back in.

I did, but I was in NY at the time. So no biggie anyway.

I saw Mr. Perot in Downtown Fort Worth a couple of years back.  He was walking through the City Center II tower lobby.  I smiled and nodded.  He pointed his finger at me and said, "Hey, how ya doin'?" in a way only Ross Perot could.

He was and is a lunatic who thought that George Bush sabotaged his daughter's wedding and believed that the North Vietnamese had hired the Black Panthers to assasinate him.
