... and why do we like them so much???

So these things are fried pork skins that have bubbled up and then salted. Who in the hell would have come up with this idea???

Al Gore. He wanted something to munch on while inventing the Internet.

Probably "invented" to utilize every part of the pig.

Ever had chitlins (chitterlings?)?

And we like 'em so much because they are fatty and salty. The body has a natural craving for sources of energy. Fat is one of the best sources for high caloric content. Sugar is another. Salt is naturally craved by most creatures as a nutrient essential for the proper functioning of muscles.

It's perfectly natural to like sweet, fatty or salty foods. Humans just have too easy access to these types of foods, hence the abundance of overweight people.

I likes the HOT ones. Did you know they have like HALF the fat content of potato chips, cheese curls, etc. That amazes me. I was carting by the Hispanic food section of the Kash n Karry the other day and I spotted a mexican brand on the shelf that contained one specimen about 6 X 11 in. Guess they don't cut em up..

...shiver...[puke]

Some things are unfit for human consumption.  Brains, pig's feet, ox tails...and chittlins.

Well, I know "they" were NOT Jewish or Islamic...so that narrows it down a bit.
