Given the mosture in the air here, I've just seen too many friends guns get rusty by sitting in the vehicle.

Too much of a pain when just going somewhere also. However, if i'm heading up to my friends land (where we've built up a small shooting range), then I often remember to throw in the black rifle and ammo.

Maybe all this will change when I buy that 30-30.

^^^
I really do need to get one of those Kel-Tecs...

NEF Pardner with assorted 12 gauge loads. Not too worried about a $200 shotgun getting rusty

Rem 870 in the trunk 24/7.

I would but WV concealed carry law only covers pistols

Sometimes 2.

Ithaca 12 gauge...unless that's wrong...and then I don't.

I have 3 in my Patrol Vehicle.
Does that count?

Not "permanently" technically, since I bring it in every night, but whenever I go anywhere the AK is in my trunk along with my chest rig and armor. You just never know when something like that will come in handy!

a Remington 597 behind the truck seat, in addition to the 642 in the glovebox

I'll bet some of these people did:

I used to. I don't like to in the company truck, though. It often ends up in places where such things aren't allowed, like chemical plants.

I keep a Marlin 3081 under the rear seat of my truck.

Beater PawnShop Remy 870 or WASR-10. Cause you never know, you know.

I heard these make DAMN fine trunk guns.

Just sayin'.

What?????

That's what I heard.

No but I do, on occasion, take one with me when traveling long distance with large sums of money or precious metals. Either one of my FALs or an Ithaca 12ga riot gun.

Winchester 22 magnum... Fudd gun no raised eyebrows...

I don't leave anything on value in my vehicle. If I was allowed to carry an AR in my patrol car I wouldn't leave it in the vehicle off work.

Nope , not all the time.

But definately when travelling in the boonies - rural areas. The M4orgery.

It is an old pic, the contents have changed some. More water has been added.

+1

Had my truck broken into too many times here in Dallas. Alarms don't do squat here. When I purchase a SUV sometime next year, I will probably look into one of these TruckVaults

At any given time there are at least a handgun and rifle in my car. Shotgun is usually there too.
Link Posted: 7/21/2008 8:03:14 PM EDT
I've been thinking about tucking away the Beretta Storm 9mm in the truck.
Link Posted: 7/21/2008 8:05:55 PM EDT
I'd like to, but I need to figure out a way to securely store one...

I have one of the many Yugo SKSs I own in the back of my Jeep with 5 clips NOT MAGAZINES.

I am thinking more like one of these

www.kel-tec-cnc.com/plr16.html

My buddy has one with the stock and vertical pistol grip / with laser and it is tight and sweet.

He says it shoots accurate, and is beginning to like it better than his Bushy. It fits in a pack or standard briefcase. You could easily carry it in a briefcase with a handgun.

I am planning on a couple of them myself.
