I don't know about Superheroes (sorry, Ultraman don't count as a cartoon!) but most of the Japanese comic-type stuff I enjoy was written by Shirow Masamune (think titles like "Appleseed," "Dominion: Tank Police," "Orion," "Ghost In the Shell," which are his bigger ones) as well as "Outlanders," "Dirty Pair," "Urusei Yatsura," and occasionally "Lupin III" and "Ranma 1/2."

I'm not heavily into superhero stuff - I like watching more or less normal people withh very abnormal things happening to them.  Kinda reminds me of me...

D   hes probably my favorite of all time. his second movie was amazing and the first one was no slouch either.

the ninja scroll characters were all pretty cool.

the neon genesis evangelion characters were cool but far more anti hero.

i also watch all of gundam wing and really like all the male characters but absolutely hated relena peacecraft.  oh she made me angry.

im sure ill think of several more after i post this but id say that sums it up pretty well.  too bad not much cool anime comes on tv and its so expensive to buy.  oh well when i win the lottery i know what ill have to set some money aside for.  take care.

Jubei would have to be one of my all time favorites, though I was dissappointed that he didn't behead that clown....

My others would have to be Roy Foker, Gim, Parn, Kou Uraki, ect. Really too many to list.

If you guys liked Gundam Wing, Check out Gundam 0083 and Gundam: The 8th MS Team, The Macross Movie and Macross Plus. All are exceptional mecha-style movies.

Anyone who likes medevil, D&D style stuff should BUY Record of the Lodoss War (first series, the second series is pretty good, but the original is awesome).

Edited to add Lt Burning. Anyone who busts the cast offof his leg to go save a guy who disobeyed his orders deserves mentioning....

I vote for Jubei Kibagami.

He kicks a large amount of ass for just one Ninja. Besides, Ninja Scroll was a great movie.

Agreed, Jubei kicks industrial quantities of ass.  Another I like:  Kyoya Izayoi, from Demon City Shinjuku.

They don't show it here in the U.S.  Japan runs a series of commercials showing a cartoon turd that reminds kids to flush the toilet.  It looks like the one on Southpark, except it was years ahead of that one.

Hidy Ho folks, that is all.

I'm not sure which model it is, but it IS one of the sub-compacts.

Jet Li carries a Walther P99 and Spike Spiegel carries an IMI Jericho (or Baby Eagle).
