I refuse to go to my inlaws, so they don't even invite me anymore. So the wife and daughter just left to go out there for the night. How many of you are goinhg to be here?

I will be. My daughter and I will go out for Chinese after I get out of work (tradition we've had for years). This is the first Christmas since she moved out on her own, so it'll be me and some college football on the tube. Actually, it will be kind of relaxing.

No in-laws to go to (no out-laws either for that matter).

But I'll have more here than you - the wife and daughter.  All other family lives in the midwest, and her parents and my parents will be celebrating with the Guest of Honor Himself.

Altho, I'm sure someone will point out that He probably really wasn't born tomorrow...[rolleyes]

Sorry dude.

Wife and I will be going to her parents home tonight and then will spend tomorrow at my parents home.  Tomorrow night will be at dinner at our house for all family and friends.   Usual tradition.

Well I could not be alone, after all I have family visiting here along with girls coming back from college wanting to see me, I have all the chances to be social, but right now I am so sick I can barely walk to the car.

I'll be going to my apprently-soon-to-be-ex-wife's aunt's house, afterwards I'll likely be sleeping on the couch in my own home.

Frankly, I'd rather be alone, but I want to be with the [baby][baby].

For all of you lonely people out there....I wish you a Merry Christmas, the best of everything, and stay safe.

As one of the lonely people once myself....It will only get better.

I'll be spending Christmas alone...it's tradition for me.  Besides severe insomnia I also have an extreme attachement disorder.  I can't get really close to people in a "relationship" way, even family style relationships...so I spend all of my holidays alone.  But I AM going to a cool post Christmas party with some of the very cool Arizona ARFCOM gang........THAT'S A CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm just glad I'm alive. It don't matter if I sit here alone.(girlfriend went home to Alabama for the holidays)I REFUSE to let my emotions be controlled by things or people for I would be in a world of shit if I did.Even though I am alone ,I am not REALLY alone.EVEN if I WAS,(I)have the ability to CHANGE my situation.

I am FORTUNATE to be as BLESSED as I am.

....and I LIVE by my sigline.

Don't leave for Atlanta until Friday morning to see my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.  They are going to his mom's house on Christmas.  His dad died recently and this is her first Christmas without him in about 50 years, so they are focusing on her right now.  I don't mind and understand completely.

Tommorrow is still going to be rough.

Yeah, I'd go there even if you both hate each other.

Especially since they already left they aren't expecting you to come; you can show up a little later and they will all be surprised/happy to see you--you'll get bonus points if you look like you care. It would be one of those touching holiday moments 'n shit. [:\]

Seriously, get outta here.[:|]

yep, I'll be here, by myself, drinking a Beam & Coke, wishing that I could have gone to see my son in Oregon. But on the bright side, I'm gonna surprise him for his Birthday in Feb. by just showing up.

Wife and I here in South Florida. Wouldn't be so bad but we lost a daughter in 94 so Xmas is depressing. Son is coming in from Brooklyn tomorrow with a cheese cake from Juniors. That's sure to perk up the day.
I've been alone on Holidays before and it sucks but keep your chin up good comes to good. It just takes time.
Gerry

Happy holidays to everyone.

Wife's on call at the hospital tonight...ladies and gentlemen, I'm here to tell ya: if you're having surgery on Christmas eve, you're one sick puppy.

Just put the #1 son to bed...he's not quite two, and he's not sure what's going on, but he was wired all day. No nap makes boy and dad grumpy.

So I'm just sittin' here editing a few home movies and jackin' up the post count.

My wifes in Chi visiting her Folks.  We won't have them too many more years, so I stay home & tend to the critters.  12 hours of Double Time & 1/2 help make up for it tho.

No Shiner here unfortunately.  Just us & Ol' Billy Joe Shaver on the Jam box.

I am at work. Three Christmas Eve's in a row!

My GF is out of town visiting her parents in Tx and doesn't get back until Friday late. I spent the evening at my dad's house, watching my nephew receive his first real firearm (he has plenty of cool toys actually, just not yet...). As his dad (my brother) is out of work, I bought the rifle and gave it to my bro, who in turn gave it to the little monster labelled as "from Santa". I bought him a CZ-452 Scout (he's age 10) .22LR.

I'll be all alone tomorrow though as bro, sis-in-law, and my dad are going to her family's shindig. No Thanks for me! GF has no idea what's in store for her when she gets home. I hope it isn't also "that" time! [:\] That would suck indeed!

I usually spend Christmas the same way. At 88, there's no telling how many more my dad has left, so it's always good to see him horsing around with his grand kids, enjoying life. It makes me wish I had kids of my own so they could know that man too.

I've been alone for Christmas many times, so I know what it's like. Every year is different though, so don't despair.

Merry Christmas and best heartfelt wishes to every one of my cyber brothers!
