I have no idea who this Imbroglio person is, save that everybody seems to have an intense hatred of him. What did he do?
Link Posted: 8/19/2004 1:52:39 PM EST
All he needed was a .22 and a .38. He was an agent provocateur. I kind'a liked him around.

There is really little else to know...perhaps...

A pain in the ass.
Link Posted: 8/19/2004 1:56:55 PM EST
He was the mouthpiece for the "Anybody but Bush" crowd. Among other things, one of his loudest drums was that Bush had secretly re-instated the draft.

Link Posted: 8/19/2004 2:04:20 PM EST

Who is Imbroglio?

That, my friend, is the million-dollar question.

Right after "who is john galt, and why is he so verbose?"

Link Posted: 8/19/2004 2:05:41 PM EST
(Semi-) professional .
Link Posted: 8/19/2004 2:07:18 PM EST
Don't know him, but sounds like he was run out of here because the prevailing voice is hard right....

But he was fun to read.

But what I always wanted to know, when he sends a Snail Mail letter out, does he used a pen, pencil or crayon to write with

Your critisism of our site aside, he was removed several times for trolling.

I am not criticising the site, (but if I felt it needed it, I'd be bold enough to dish it out come what may) and don't know the guy. It appeared from previous responses they just disagreed with him....

He had a different point of view

A lot here can not stand that sort of thing

to bad , I say.

He is back under a different user name - different IP provider ......... we stay in touch

In the end he became something of a shock jock with nothing interesting or original to say and just seemed to enjoy peeing on the hornet nest.</snip>

As much as (1) people who knew him ridicule him, and (2) people who never knew him and just want to fit in - ridicule him, and (3) people who want to pound their chests and pledge undying love to the GOP, ridicule him as a right of passage even in their polls as a poll choice, I'd say you are going out on a limb by merely expressing any form of appreciation of him.
Link Posted: 8/19/2004 2:18:12 PM EST
Personally, I thought he was funny as hell most of the time. Bizarre, but funny

What I find utterly amazing is people's urged affiliation with party out of a real need to belong to the correct club. We all know the GOP has taken care of us as best they could, where as Dems have done everything possible to take 2nd amendment rights away, but in all honesty, when we are here talking to each other we can probably drop the party line and just be honest.

Of course he is. So is McUzi and others also banned.

You think this is news?

But they are not back under their "proper" name.

How that must irritate their poor, damaged egos!

yes it must for sure --------------- you cultivate a user name like a crop

then --- being unable to use it ------ frustrating for sure.

Site curmudgeon.
Link Posted: 8/20/2004 10:13:33 AM EST
He is the devil's advocate, the lover of DotD, a thought provoker, and the troll we love to hate.
Link Posted: 8/20/2004 10:20:17 AM EST
He's 4' tall weighing in at 360 lbs.

Wasn't that about it?

Link Posted: 8/20/2004 10:22:09 AM EST
Imbroglio is an okay guy. Definately not a lemming or an ass kisser. I respect that.
Link Posted: 8/20/2004 10:25:18 AM EST
He was unique and not an arfcom sheeple...he posted what he thought and didn't care what other arfcomers thought of him. He was one of the ones who can think for themselves.
Link Posted: 8/20/2004 10:25:33 AM EST

Interesting, particularly considering the source.

Imbro giving you your marching orders? There is a definite similarity in style & substance, or lack thereof. Did you just give up the annoying habit of posting stupid articles just to see the reaction? And then just change your handle to "Cyanide?"

I know with near absolute certainty Cyanide and Imbroglio are NOT the same man.

thank you beekeeper1

Imbro could go off the deep end every now and then. I overlooked it due to his other posts that were what I considered to be thought provoking.
