I worked 5 days last week with our staff being 60% - 3 techs call off/family problems and we are slammed with the surgeons wanting to bang out as many surgeries as they can before the holidays.
I get Saturday off, then pick up a Sunday shift for someone, was going to work then M-F, but then have to work Sat as well - so seven days in a row now for me, one day off on Sunday (Chirstmas) then back for another 5 days. At least the overtime at $37.50 an hour will be nice

I'm not doing shit this week. Unemployed until early January, and even then I'll be pulling down a whopping $9 an hour. That's OK though, it's temporary. I'll be in nursing school soon enough and then life gets a whole lot better.

Yea, came in on my day off, and worked 4 extra hours on wednesday and today. Tmw will be busy, and xmas eve will be fucking insane.

I'm working my normal schedule, with absolutely nothing to do and earning my standard rate of $50/hour.

I hardly ever work the last 2 weeks of the year. My company closes for business between 12/25 and 12/31 every year. I usually have enough leftover vacation time out of my 4 weeks paid vacation to take the extra week before off too.

Two guys on sick leave and another on funeral leave on the shift before mine.
On 12 hours OT, then regular 24 hour duty shift tomorrow. |
