Move on down here and Join In. Range I go to there are always chicks trolling for guys. Easy to start up a conversation and plenty of family activity.

Hey I am the definition of lone wolf. Absolutely no one but me, well except for the dog & the parakeet but they don't exactly share my love of the shooting sports.

I used to be. I'd jump in my jeep every Sat or Sun morning, throw in a couple of pistols and head out to the desert of southern new mexico all by my self while the wife slept late. Now I've got 3 boys, any of which love to go along with me.

I'm in a similar situation, but fortunately I don't have any overt opposition to firearms or any of my other hobbies.
However, I do most everything alone. I do what pleases me when it pleases me. It's not always the best situation, but at least I'm peaceful and complacent. I'm a lone "something". 'Just don't know what, yet. |

I am in the same boat, none of my friends are anti gun, but none of them care about guns, or know anything about them.. It sucks.

Most times the "odd man" (someone with no wife, kids, family or other close associates) is assigned to do certain tasks that those who have attachments mentioned above might hesitate or even refuse to complete.

One type of person the Alphabet Org's can never get a handle on is the "loner". They have infiltrated all patriot groups and know who runs what. They have profiles on many people, but they don't know who all the loners are. Now here's a thread that wants to help them find out who they are. Are you for real? May I suggest you delete this thread.

I had some people who were friends when I was in college. Then I got a job, and hence income, and started buying "toys". Rapidly found out that they were in reality "so called" friends since they don't come around anymore because they fear the black rifle. The hermit life is better any way. Lots of time to concentrate on self improvement. |

I don't have any friends who are opposed to firearms. Most of my friends grew up in the country like me, everyone shot and hunted. Almost all my friends own gun and most hunt. I still live about 4 blocks from my college roommate who has more guns that me and we go shooting a couple of times a month. My best friend from high school and I still hunt most every weekend in the fall. I can rattle off a bunch of other casual friends that have long guns and most have pistols, although they don't carry them very often. I can't think of a friend I have that is anti-gun. I do know this one guy who does not have a gun.

I'm a lone wolf in my family for the most part, although I have brought my brother around some what.
For those of you that haven't heard my story, here's a concise brief of the situation I've been in. My step-mother decides she doesn't like guns one day. She sells me her Springfield 1911-A1 for $250. Two weeks later my dad gives me a rare Felix over/under double barrel 18 and 1/4 in. 12 ga. A month after that my brother gets a 1959 S&W Model 29 4 screw .44 Magnum in trade for some money he was owed on a construction job for some old man. Sells it to me for $300. The very next week my dad decides to give me his S&W .357 Magnum revolver. Then we all go down to FL for a week together. Step-mom finds a Shot Gun news laying on couch and turns to a page with an ad from International Military Antiques and sees a Nazi flag in it. Next thing I know, my dad, step-mom, sister-in-law, sister, and future brother-in-law have me cornered like a wounded coon accusing me of being a white racist gun loving nut, and that I should seek pyshaitric help! Never mind the fact that my collection at that time was half compiled by them and that my wife is Philippino! Edited to say: My wife likes the fact I have firearms, just not that I have so many. She hardly ever goes to the range with me, although I drag from time to time in order to make her practice. |

What range do you go to? The only times that I have ever seen a "chick" at the range was the one that I brought with me. I live in the North Dallas area. |

Many of my shooting buddies have moved on to other hobbies, but I am still good friends with them.
So I am usually the lone wolf shooting since they don't have the same passion to go every weekend like me. |
