This (well, use to). I really find it hard to believe that there's a better IWB holster for the 1911.

I use a Galco IWB with the Wilson. I have a Raven Concealment Phantom IWB inbound for the Springfield w/ X300.

I'd purchased a Comp Tac CTAC for use with the Wilson until my Versamax II arrives. Problem is that the damn thing flips the safety off every time I draw it from the holster. So, I had to dust off the Galco.

Good times. Every bit as easy to CCW a 1911 as it is to CCW a G19 or G34, IMHO.

Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded model.

Carried in Milt Sparks VMII holster.

Really one of the best carry rigs out there IMHO.  Easy to conceal and very comfortable.  In fact, it's usually my summer carry setup.

Workin' on making it so.

Using liberal terms;

I just feel safer with a 1911.  It feels more comfortable.

Plus if it worked for the U.S. government for 90ish years, and it's back in service again... it's good enough for me to use to stop bad people if need be.

I am currently carrying a J-Frame 357/38 but I am looking to change to a full size 1911 as soon as I get a decent holster.

Oh, and BadSVT....

'Love that pic!  It's always great to see 1911's that have truly been loved and not suck in a cold, dark safe somewhere.
