If there is one anime in existence that is required viewing for ARFCOM it is High School of the Dead.  Just watch the first episode and you'll be hooked.

Once I finish/quit S4 of High School DxD I'll start on it.

The "art" is painful, and I want the head of whatever retard decided this was ok.

Here are some more suggestions for your list since you liked DxD.

While they aren't as humorous as High School DxD I would also recommend Testament of Sister New Devil and Strike the Blood if you have access to them.  They are some of my favorites in the ecchi action genre.  Testament of Sister New Devil has more "naughty" things than DxD so if you are concerned about that you may want to skip it, but it has a really good story and it's available on Crunchyroll.

The Grisaia series was good as well but its not like any of those shows in that it doesn't have demons and stuff like the other shows

The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter was pretty good and as HK said High School of the Dead was good.

Yep.  Good series that was well animated (good grasp of body motion, on their part).

One season and an OVA episode.  Would be even better if there was a second season, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

3/5 (Grisaia and Strike The Blood don't have dub available on what I use) recomendations have been added to my watch list.

Thanks.

That was the very first anime I ever watched, it fueled my addiction.
And Saeko in an apron didn’t hurt either.

It’s definitely not “very good.”  It kinda reminded me of a trash Isekai without the “Isekai.” I usually enjoy those though.  Or at least find them watchable. YMMV.

Also, if you have an anime about cute vampire girls you should never have an episode that is 99% free of cute vampire girls.

Ever since the first episode of Call of the Night I was hooked.  I watch new episodes ASAP when they come out and usually look forward to them a day or two in advance.  However, around lunch time today it dawned on me that, for the first time this season, I had completely forgotten about the new episode.  Over 24 hours had past and I didn't even think to watch it.

I blame the boring (outside of the last few minutes) previous episode that was 99% free of cute vampire girls.

A decade later and that OP is still on my workout playlist.  Probably best to skip it until you're at least 2/3 through.  It is kinda spoilery.

I find anime, in general, is so much more enjoyable when you skip the OP until you're near the end of the season.  That's what I almost always do.  And then when I finally do watch it I marvel at how much of the season would have been spoiled for me if I had watched the OP during E1. So many things I was curious about finding out would have been ruined.

In terms of spoilers some anime are worse that others of course.  Demon Slayer S1 and Overlord S4 are some recent examples that come to mind.  Both are amazing OPs though.

Another great realistic start to zombies isn't even anime. Shaun of the Dead.  The complete lack of situational awareness is another possibility.

Both SOTD and HOTD are my favorite of all the zombie stuff.

I find it hilarious how the only major zombie movie/tv show to show the military in a competent way is a film that is a parody of zombie films.

Also: RIP shawnofthedead.  Poor bastard thought he was going to an orgy.  Instead he went missing, presumed dead.

I doubt even 10% of the non-anime watchers in GD would even make it past the first episode.

HOTD, on the other hand, is pretty much perfect for ARFCOM GD.

Verdict?

I enjoyed 3 and 4 and years ago I was about to buy 5, but then I read about some feature that was pissing a lot of people off.  Something about randomly getting kidnapped and forced to escape.  One mission like that sounds fine, but, IIRC, people were saying it happens many times during the game and that sounds very annoying.

I got all the og and "hidden" endings, in all the classes, broke out of the map. Haven't played since all the updates though.

I keep replaying Metro Exodus. Hardest setting, Russian VA, no subs, ps5 upgrade with adaptive triggers... most imersive game ever. And beautiful.

I would love to see the Metro series adapted to anime. It would be brutal.

It was OK.
Really a dark game with a darker ending, and one of the biggest gripes is the kidnappings.
When you go up against Jacob Seed (one of the main bad guys) he runs you through a gauntlet type evolution that’s timed and rather difficult.
It’s a pain, and unfortunately you have to do it on five different occasions to finally get to face off against him.
The worse part is it happens at random times including while on missions, so it’s not just aggravating, it’s plot breaking.
That, and I found it to be rather a challenge to beat even on the normal setting, I’ve played games in survival mode that were easier.

I really like that game, still haven’t finished it yet, I keep getting distracted by other games.
I play on both the X Box console  and PC, depending on how many mods are available determines what platform I get the game for.
Games like the Fallout series and Skyrim with thousands of mods I get on PC, ones that have few mods I run on console as it’s more just plug and play without having to fuss around.

PC or Playstation for me. Same reasons.

The adaptive triggers, and the fact I got a pre order in is why I got the PS5. That, and the wife plays the Persona, Final Fantasy, and NeiR series on PS.

I strongly recommend finishing Exodus. Try and stay moral in everything you do. Either way though, the few endings you can get made my wife cry. The native VAs are better IMO.

2 Colonels was OK, but Sam's Story was a good DLC, if rather open ended/a big cliffhanger. Leaves it open for future games.

So between patches and better hardware, I need to revisit the game.

This anime has one of the best uses of a Soundtrack insert song I've ever experienced.

I thought it was pretty good, a little predictable and more for the violence, but a good turn the brain off anime.
I also played the shit out of 2077, even when it was still broken.

I'm still cyberpunked out.

What’s the verdict on the game in its current state?

That’s another game I was interested in. And then I saw the reviews/ratings…

Dunno. Haven't played since before all the updates.

It is quite the dilemma…

Should I take Chisato as my waifu or should I go with Takina instead?

OK, I guess that they’re both sweet sixteen or thereabouts, which probably means ‘neither’ rather than ‘both’.

But at least I can post the ED without getting into trouble, right?

?Creditless?Lycoris Recoil ED / Ending?UHD 60FPS?

Speaking of music, normally I don’t get interested in sports anime, yet I found myself watching four or five of them this season.

Aoashi
Shoot! Goal to the Future
Love All Play
The Prince of Tennis II U-17 World Cup

And maybe others as well.

Regardless of the merits of the shows themselves, I’m finding that I really, really like the up-tempo OP from Shoot! Goal to the Future:

Shoot! Goal to the Future opening

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury prolog is up on crunchy.

Good animation, cool combat scenes, interesting characters and two redhead anime girls that break free from the stereotype of the tsundere redhead.

I'm very hopeful for the rest of this show.

Is it a good idea to just jump into this or should I watch other Gundam shows to understand it?  I've only ever watched Gundam Wing and it's movie Endless Waltz.  I know there are a bunch of other shows but I haven't watched any of them yet.  The preview I saw for The Witch from Mercury caught my attention and I was planning on checking it out.
