Who wins this battle of the corn?  White or yellow?

Also how do you cook your corn on the cob?

What mysterious seasonings do you use?

For me white!  Old Bay and butter. Roast that corn or smoke it!

The important question is do you eat it typewriter style, lathe style, or pornstar style?

ETA: White corn, cooked on the grill, typewriter style.

Whatever is sweeter which is usually white.  I wish I could try some good heirloom corn, I bet it's amazing.

Either.
Boiled with butter and salt.

Of course, cut off the cob and the "milk" scraped into a bowl, then fried up with some diced bacon and onion is deelish as well.

On a camping trip a good buddy kept raving about how awesome this corn is and we have to try some.  Fucker gave us feed corn.  Absolutely inedible.

Heirloom bi-color for the win!  There is a guy that sells a variant here in Utah that he calls candy corn.  I'm from Iowa originally and used to sell sweet corn during the summer with my family and this stuff blows it all away!  Even my Dad commented on how it was the best he had ever tried.

Amen to that.  Bi-color corn is the best.  We soak the un-opened ears (with full husks) overnight then toss them on the grill until the outer husk is golden brown.  Yum! Yum!

I assume it is due to growing or harvesting seasons, but arround here anyone who is bragging about their fresh corn is eating dent corn rather than sweet corn.

I am a heathen, but I like sweet corn.  I usually deep fry niblets, then give them some old bay and sugar-but dillo dust would be awesome as well.   To be honest, most of the corn I eat is popped in ghee with dillo dust-that is several nights a week movie snacks.  On some nights I have downed an 8oz batch myself.

I hate corn on the cob.  Too messy and it gets stuck in your teeth.

I prefer yellow corn.  Heavily buttered and salted, maybe some black pepper added; wrapped in foil and grilled or roasted.  I eat it typewriter style.

Yellow Corn.

1) Shuck, wash, usually use a brush to get the silk off.
2) Break in half, easier to eat with one hand.
3) Soak in water for at least 20 minutes.
4) Drain water.
5) Liberally rub down with olive oil.
6) Liberally sprinkle on creole seasoning.
7) Lay on foil.
8) Toss on a couple slices of jalapenos & some diced onions.
9) Wrap up in foil.
10) Put on 450-500° grill.
11) Grill approximately 5 minutes per side, rotate to get all 4 sides.
12) Pull off the grill, unwrap, and enjoy.

Either will work but they have to be cooked on the grill, covered in melted butter, little bit of salt and lathe it

Growing conditions, soil, water, and genetics have more to do with how corn tastes than whether it's white or yellow.  I've had good white, bad white, good yellow, bad yellow.  I've grown the same corn in the same field on different years and have it taste completely different based on nothing other than weather.

That is what the Brits said about the colonials when we kicked their ass.

There is no difference other than selective breeding.

I read Indian corns that are red and part red are the best all around corn.
Eat like sweet corn when milky.
Meal and grain at around 13 percent moisture and OK when parched too.

I  picked some ears of non GMO bicolor earlier today.

The best I ever tasted; corn needs to be fresh to the table to be at its best.
