That Mastercard commercial about what baseball fans would give to see their team win the World Series got me thinking. Which would you rather have:

A) Bush wins the election but your favorite team loses in the World Series/Super Bowl/NBA Finals...

B) Bush loses the election, but your favorite team wins the World Series/Super Bowl?NBA Finals...

I intentionally left out hockey because the owners officially suck balls for locking out the players.

I know there are quite a few Red Sox/Cubs/Browns/Knicks fans out there that would give their left nut to see their team win. I'm pretty sure that most folks on this board would prefer a Bush victory, but I'm curious to see how it will turn out.

Poll coming....

That is, of course, a silly question. I wouldn't care if my team loses every game - that really doesn't affect my life.

Kerry is from Massachusetts, and I think he should VOLUNTEER his left nut for a Red Sox series win.

Which would leave him balless, as NOTHING about him is "right."

How can control of the US supreme Court and the legislative, administrative, and political agenda of this country for at least the next four years even be considered on the same leval as what overpaid, illiterate, jackass from the hood wins a friggin game?

(No, I'm not a sports fan, but I do care about my rights and the direction this country could take if Kerry gets in)

Ok who are they 2 people that voted for bush to lose fess up
Link Posted: 9/27/2004 1:18:14 PM EST
well that was real hard considering i dont watch baseball football or basketball

I'd rather see my hapless Red Sox get tromped on in the Series than have Kerry as Prez. The risk is just too great.

[ 26 ] Bush wins Good!/Favorite team gets smoked in the World Series That would be bad b/c the Cardinals are doing very well, but ok./Super Bowl Rams can't win a game of flag football /NBA Finals No NBA team

I'm a football fan, big time. I'd rather Bush win and my favorite team never win a game again, EVER, than have that fucking traitor become Commander in Chief. You're comparing apples and oranges..

Sports take a back seat when it comes to REAL LIFE issues!

Some people are just way to serious about their stupid sports!

um "Lose my rights or have my team lose" that seems pretty hard

Even if I did like sports, I certainly would not prefer to have the entire country wind up in the hands of John Kerry so that my team could win a championship.

There are few things that I find as useless as professional or collegel sports.

Arizona Cardinals ------ Fat f'n chance

Houston Astros ------ They have lost every playoff series they have been in. I cried in 86 when they lost to the Mets, but it doesn't bug me much anymore.

Bush wins without a second thought.

I have waited my entire 32 years for the NY Jets to win a superbowl....I am not about to get impatient now. Some things are more important than a sports game....for example, putting a socialist like Kerry in the white house.

Bush wins....

I really don't have a favorite team in pro sports.

For those of you out there who often wonder how/why Calif has so many fucked up politicians and fucked up laws you need only to look at the logic behind this thread...
