Colt M16 in A1 configuration, 20 inch barrel. LEO trade in, $12500

or

Registered sear for HK in 3 calibers. $11000?

I only have enough money for one. Not both, so dont say it.

Since I own nothing that says HK on the side, I'd have to go for the M-16.

damn, that is a tough decision....... i guess i would go with door #2.

if you're looking for fun/collector value, the m16.

if you're looking to plink, the hk.

where, exactly, is the decision. you went to med school to make good decisions. make one.

M16. You can get as many different types of uppers for it as you want.

Or you could always go for the Barrett M82A1, of course.

He's a doctor, he has assloads of money, and he prefers guns to Ferraris, right?

I'd go M16, and while I'm waiting for the form to clear, pinch a few more pennies and try to get 10 Beta C-Mags or a Shrike and a good optic.

I wish both those things were true!

Unfortunately thats not the case.

I have over $300000 in debt that will haunt me to my grave. I have a few pennies from a bonus coming up.

Next question, is 12.5k for an A1 reasonable?

Its one of those opportunity things. If I save my funds I may never be able to get one again.

I will start liquidating some of my collection to pay for it.

Too many pennies. I have a 1919a4 with a crank. That will have to do. Something about shooting $2 at a target a pop is not good for my wallet.

I think you just answered your question. I've got a 1919 also and burn the cheapest shit I can find through it She does however, LOVE shitty indian ammo.

But it's .50 BMG man!

How could you justify not owning an M2 if you could!?
Link Posted: 4/12/2006 8:46:12 PM EDT
m16 not having to mess with diffrent host guns for caliber changes ranks it alot higher then a HK sear in my book.

Ever had to carry one? Even split into barrel and receiver, the thing's a pure-D bitch to hump any distance at all. And then, there's the damned tripod...unless you pintle mount it.
