I know NY is still living under a state AWB that mirrors the old federal one, not sure who else.

If I had any pre-ban mags, I would box them up now.

Actually, I do have a couple of preban 10/22 mags. A 30 rounder (don't remember the brand) and a 50 round Ram-Line (I payed $80 for it about 5 years ago).

My dad also has a couple 15 rnd Glock 19 non-drop-free mags. These are real old. I think he bought them in 1988.

BTW: Since the new mags don't say LE-only, how do they know if it was made before or after the ban?

ETA: Other 10/22 mag is a "Eaton supply" 25 rounder.

Dad also informs me he has a 30 round mag for a S&W 9mm...

That's all I got.

I thought all mags were "pre-ban" unless they were 10 rounders. I haven't noticed any dates on some of the new mags I have bought

Funny thing: I was just checking the usual sites (GunBroker, GunsAmerica), and it seems like EVERY listing for >10 rnd mags says PRE-BAN in the title. That is such bullshit. It ain't a pre-ban mag unless it was MANUFACTURED before the ban, regardless of capacity. I see why it sucks so bad to live in NY and MA. You have no idea if the mags are actually pre-ban, but it's your ass if they aren't.

I have about 25 preban mags
5 or so of various brands, all USGI contract
5 FN's
10 New teflon Labelle's, 9 are still NIW.
6 20's

Maybe we need a special EE thread to facilitate an exchange for out banned state brothers.

I was just thinking the same thing. Also, how much do pre-ban mags sell for in ban states?

They don't sell for anymore than new mags now cost. I have been getting them for the current going price of a new mag.

If you think about it we are paying the new in the box price for 12 yr old used mags.
