What's your pick?

home made On the griddle, with bacon and onions fried first, so the burgers can cook in the bacon onion grease. |
A "dive" that I go to, Ringside Cafe - St Petersburg, Fla. Their Black-n-Blue is the bestest ever.
Your not going to get any chain restaurants to compete with either homemade or dive joints. |
hubcap hamburger at Cotham's Mercantile in Scott Ar is a damn good burger
Jakers of Idaho Falls. If you get a chance to come up try one! Big, thick, ground sirloin, hand patted! Portions are big as always. Cooked any way you want!
In-n-Out for a chain - fresh, hot, well made.
I'd pick Steve's Burgers for the best local - their King Kong bacon burger is 1/2 pound of beef and about six strips of bacon on a 6" diameter bun covered in your choice of fried vegetables creating a two pound monster of a meal. Conveniently located across the street from Kaiser as you're likely to have a heart attack eating that much fat in one sitting. |

I probably shouldn't be giving this information out but...Alamo Springs Cafe. It's in the middle of nowhere near a bat cave about 10 miles from Fredericksberg, Texas. It's a dump. I mean an absolute hole. The atmosphere and food is off the charts. If you want to find it get a GPS. |
Um, I actually ordered the large... |

The bat cave near Mason? Details please Sir as I'm about to live in that vicinity and love small local places. I've been going to that area my whole life, I remember going to a bat cave once when I was 10 or so, our place is actually in London. |

Johnny's Filling Station in Orlando near ORMC. Best I've had.

How far is that from Plano? |

It used to be Jungle Jim's in Orlando, but they went out of business there a few years ago. Apparently they still have a location in Virginia. though. |

How far is that from Plano? Around 300 miles and 6 or more hours depending on traffic and when you leave Dallas. I'll definitely be checking this place out after we move. |

Ann's Snack Bar in Atlanta, home of the "Ghetto Burger". Named "Best Burger in America" by the Wall Street Journal.
She's trying to sell it though. http://blogs.ajc.com/peachbuzz/2009/05/18/for-sale-soon-anns-snack-bar-home-of-the-ghetto-burger/ |

I really enjoyed the cheeseburgers and bacon cheeseburgers at the Wessington Springs SD American Legion Hall when I was out there last October. Steaks weren't too bad either.

Miss anne's is great by my favorite was Carey's Place on Hwy 41 in Marietta Ga.
His little bar / grill was just north of Dobbins A.F.B. and the place had awesome 1/2 lb. burgers. Sadly the place is long since gone but it will never be forgotten. |
Burger Time (small chain in this area) & Dairy Queen (if they're set up with a flame broiler, otherwise yuck)
Scullys Butter Burger, outside of Milwaukee. 2nd place is Culvers, a Wisconsin-based chain. They have a couple in the Phoenix area. Wife and I only go once every other month, they are so high-calorie.

Hardee's.
Or, the "Heart Attack Grill". Not sure where it is in AZ, but I'd have to go, just to say I did. |
