Ok gotcha, after seeing all the police shooting threads and how many rounds are fired and the target is missed I say 12 ga. Or give them ample training to qualify with an AR.

The latest Box O' Truth demonstrated that even rifled shotgun slugs couldn't defeat Level III armor, but .223's did. If the bad guys have armor, there's only one choice: a rifle.

Take a cue from Teddy and John Kerry. Forget the firearms. Instead of range qualification, have "command voice" practice. Remember to be sensitive because you might hurt a liberal's feelings.
