I see plenty of intelligent people around, but wise people seem to be quite scarce.

Get both!

Seriously, I would hope for a good balance of both.  Unfortunately, cold, hard facts and figures come through this medium much more readily than wisdom, experience, etc.  I've seen reference material cut-&-paste win the day here far too often...

Proverbs 4-[7] Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

More importantly they are lacking common sense. Just look at Germany during the 30's, a bunch of people with very high IQ's, but no common sense at all.

Ya.
Intelligence is nothing without creativity and talent,.. for the most part IMHO

and im damn tired of people thinking that because someone can retain alot of information that they are smart....  thats just a good memory..

Stuff it in her pics and post pooper!!!!

If by wisdom one might consider 'street smarts'  - seeing less and less of it - We should now refer to them as 'pretty'

Would consider a healthy balance of both - my wife for example, veterinary technician with a CCW.

What do you know?

Without intelligence you might not be smart enough to live till you gain wisdom.

To quote from an old Dungeons and Dragons manual (I AM a child of the 80's!)...

You step outside and get wet.

Your intelligence tell you it's raining.

You wisdom tells you to get back inside and dry off before you catch a cold.
(Yeah, I know, colds aren't caused that way....)

Intelligence concerns itself with conclusions.
Wisdom concerns itself with consequences.

As I grow older, I am not getting any smarter, but am proud to say I think I am getting wiser.

The frustrating part is trying to share this wisdom with the younger folks.  They are not listening.

My feelings..................you are born with a certain degree of intelligence but.....................wisdom takes time to develope.

For me.........I'll gust be happy with good old common sense.

Gotta know what you're talking about though.

Wisdom comes through intellegence.   You can't be ignorant and wise.

Intelligent scares me....

Too much Intelligence = nuts.  Yep, I have seen it.

What his name?...Dr. Krazinsky aka the Una Bomber?...He is a very intelligent guy, professor at Stanford and all but he is a loner and a nuts!

Edited to say: In the old days...We called them nerds.  And nerds do no have social life, they are mostly loners with bad attitudes.
