A= Conventional takeoff and landing
B= Vertical/Short take off and landing C= Navalized (bigger wings) ? I think I'd fly the A since it is lighter. The B with all those moving parts scares me, and it cuts down on fuel/ordnance. But I'm not a pilot anyway

Depends on if the Navy decides to install it instead of the extra fuel tank. But they have already decided to ONLY make the F135 with the drive shaft for the B models fan- since it also could be used to provide power for a laser. Whats it useful for? Shooting down other aircraft. |
