I am looking for a new 16inch upper with a full length handguard.

American Spirit Arms has one for around $419.
DPMS also shows one for about $200 more.

Is the DPMS that much better in quality than ASA?

Feedback welcome.

Is Bushmaster an option?

You won't be disappointed.

FWIW, My ASA shoots dime sized groups at 100 yards. But I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone who knows me.

DPMS and Bushy both have a good track record.
If you want a chrome lined barrel, then Bushy is the only way to go.
But you will sacrifice some accuracy in the process.

Good luck

DPMS has nicely accurate barrels. My ASA 9mm conversion shoots well, but for what you want go DPMS over ASA.

IMO, DPMS produces some of the best components for AR15 rifles out there at any price.
My Dad's Sweet 16 will shoot 1/2 MOA all day, and one of the gun rags had one that shoots 1/4 MOA consistently.
