Terry Clark says she stood in line for more than six hours at Clayton
County's Human Services Office because food stamp help for her six
children unexpectedly ended.

"There's no telling my kids we can't
eat. I'm not taking no. We don't deserve that. Nobody should go hungry
here in Georgia," said Terry Clark.

jesus 1050 for food for a MONTH. goddamn.

I know people that are busting their ass working, taking care of 4 kids, making a house payment and are not even making that every two weeks.

We should cut them all off and let it work its self off. If during that time I personally find someone who needs help I may help them with the basics.

It's a good learning opportunity. The welfare money got shut off. They didn't riot. They didn't light fires. They waited all day at the welfare office and got indignant with the staff. When this happens for real, expect the same thing to happen. I'd say the smart people have about two-three days to either fortify or leave town before the fires get lit.

I fuckin knew it would be Clayton Co as soon as I saw the link. That place is the shithole of metro Atlanta. Their school system lost accreditation a few years ago so families left in droves.

Take a wild guess who stayed

ETA: it's amazing how these EBT folks run out of food every 30 days. $1050/mos for eats? That could feed my wife, one y.o., and two kittehs for 3 mos easy.

Coupled with those comments and the comments I've seen under some of the videos of the riots in England...and the shit I've seen on worldstarhippityhop.
We in this country are headed for a big clash..... It's coming.. the writing is on the wall... What exactly the catalyst will be, I don't know!

I'm worried they are home hungry, or are eating stale bread or old yogurt.

Who rioted? They stood in line and got stupid with the staff, who were themselves probably angry their food stamp money didn't come in. They didn't light fires. I'd say they'd probably wait around for two or three days before they got nasty. Tell them the money will be here tomorrow and they'd probably wait until the rapture.

Did Clayton county even get their accreditation back yet? Last I heard the 5 students they had that graduated high school couldn't qualify for college based on the county they went to school in.

BTW. I got to ride with the parasites on the MARTA last night. Took the train to GA Dome for the Falcons pre-season game. I'll pay the extra $ to park at the stadium next time. It re-enforced why I stay away from Atlanta.
