Graduated high school in June 89.  Had a P/T job at a car dealer, was still with my first real girl friend.  Got a job that fall with the utility company reading meters(dad got me in).  I quit that winter.  Joined USN the next year.

Hair bands ruled.  Chicks had high hair and bright makeup.  There were no low rider jeans, bare midrifts, etc back then.  Wwe had chicks with Poison Tshirts and such.  Kids now adays have no idea... evermind

I was going to punk rock and hardcore shows, still in highschool, doing typical highschool stuff, listening to Op Ivy, Bad Religion, GG Allin, Slapshot, Agnostic Front, The Go-Go's, and Forced Reality.

That being said, I was even at that time a political junkie, and very much remember being very aware of everything that was going on. It was a hell of a time the late 80's for sure.
