Thinking back on my days in the military, it occurred to me (since I was 17 when I joined) that people born in 1989 are now eligible for military service.

Graduated high school in June 89. Had a P/T job at a car dealer, was still with my first real girl friend. Got a job that fall with the utility company reading meters(dad got me in). I quit that winter. Joined USN the next year.
Hair bands ruled. Chicks had high hair and bright makeup. There were no low rider jeans, bare midrifts, etc back then. Wwe had chicks with Poison Tshirts and such. Kids now adays have no idea... evermind |

Let's see ... 30 years old , married with a 1 year old daughter and a Jumbo mortgage at 12.9 % , working my ass off because the wife decided she wanted to be a stay at home mom . Come to think of it , that's just about the time I started to learn how to read the handwriting on the wall |

I was going to punk rock and hardcore shows, still in highschool, doing typical highschool stuff, listening to Op Ivy, Bad Religion, GG Allin, Slapshot, Agnostic Front, The Go-Go's, and Forced Reality.
That being said, I was even at that time a political junkie, and very much remember being very aware of everything that was going on. It was a hell of a time the late 80's for sure. |

I was in my early 20's "dating" a nice Hispanic lady in her mid 40's...Funny thing is her son (now 40 like me) works in the same office that I do...He was grown and out of the house when I was humping his mama but sometimes when he walks past my desk I wonder if he knows..Its really freaky what goes on inside my head when I'm talking to him sometime

THATS the year I married the best person the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to Alaska on a two week honeymoon. Had sex like rabits in some of the best places God ever made. Still go to Alaska now and then, put a couple of good children in local schools, stay active in community and work, and am still in love with the best person in the world |

In 1989, I left my career in the medical electronics field and started a new career in the commercial radio business.
I'm still there 17 years later. |

I was living in West Berlin, My father was Comander of the American Air Corder over East Germany.

Really? In 1990-92 my dad was Vice Comander of Tempelhof Airbase in Berlin. |
