Quoted: I'm not sure but i think there is a difference between T304 used in breweries and bakeries, versus auto exhaust pipes. For example, I need 2" OD with about Schedule 10 thickness. McMaster only shows 1.9" OD for 2" pipes. |
There will be a difference in od from pipe to tube, other than that it should be std. Industrial and foodstuffs convey piping is usually pipe, as in the sch 10, sch 40 pipe, although they do use tubing as well. Just depends on the convey rate they need.
Auto tube should be a std tube diameter of 1.5"- 1.75"-1.875"-2"-2.25"-2.5"-3"-etc.
I carry much of it, and can get any of it, but it sure isn't cheap anymore. Heck even my scrap stainless brings almost $1.5/lb.
Just let me know what size you want, and how much, and I'll get you a price. If you want to spend some more $, I can get T316, as well.
