I've never seen it for sale locally; I've only heard about it here.  Where do y'all buy it locally (i'm assuming that you do)?  I'd like to look at it before I subscribe.

I subscribed to it for many years, until I had acquired all the stuff I was ever likely to.  It's worth the $18/yr   IF   you have the bucks to spend on stuff.  For just casual reading material, not so much.

I have also been getting it sent to my house for the past year. I never signed up for it either.

Still in grocery stores here.  I subcribed for awhile.  I did not renew because I would always get 2 or 3 weeks worth on the same day.  More times than not there would be three issues in my mailbox on the same day.

Borders, B&N, Walmart, Safeway, BX/PX, etc, etc. You can get it pretty much anywhere around here.

I get it at King Soopers (grocery store) which is Krogers out east.

Safeway, Albertsons, etc don't carry it around here

It's like $36 for a year.  It comes three times per month.  A dollar an issue.  And the mailed copy is the issue before the newstand issue.  Screw buying it local.

Back in the day when FFL's were easy to get (pre-Klinton; I actually had one),  I had a subscription. They used to be a LOT thicker and had a shit-load more stuff for sale.

Think of what happened to Computer Shopper magazine over the years; same thing!

There is nothing in it nowdays. Buy one every six months and you won`t miss a thing. My subscription runs out in May  and no way will i ever renew it as it just filler for the trash can.

I am told that SGN is one of the top-tier magazines at WalMart, and so it is sold in every store in the country. There was a pretty major shakeup in the magazine distribution world a month or so ago, and that kept a lot of titles off a lot of shelves across the country. SGN might have been missing where you were looking.

I have found that some WalMarts display their gun mags (Guns and Ammo, Shooting Times, SGN) in the sporting goods department on an end cap instead of mixed in with the other magazines.

This. It has been an awful thin publication lately.
