I don't care either way. I am not a pot smoker and won't become one if legalized.

Treat it the same as alcohol and cigarettes.

Legalize it already.

I keep seeing these crazy stories about LE agencies busting small time pot growers and keeping their "community" safe. Safe from whom exactly? Somebody who wants to smoke a giggle cig and watch TV?

Real fucking scary guys.

This. A person aught to be a le to ingest, smoke, or otherwise consume whatever the fuck they want.

I'm in favor of decriminalizing all drugs.  Furthermore I'd make most or all prescription medication available over the counter.

I don't want my children to accidentally get stuck with a pot needle, so I'm against legalization.  Those things would be everywhere.

Legalize federally and treat the same as alcohol.

That poll is missing some choices, mainly: "Legalize it because the tax revenue would be a great thing, and I could care less about smoking the shit."

If it's ever legal on the federal level I'll probably grow my own and smoke a little now and then.

I think everything should be legal for anyone to buy from a vending machine or mailed to your house except for antibiotics.

Me too.

I have no use for it - but it's a plant. A plant we have spent BILLIONS of dollars fighting and ruined peoples lives over. Thousands of them. Seems dumb.

Because: it's a plant.

same here, but i think it's pretty ridiculous that alcohol is legal yet pot isn't.

doesn't make any difference to me, but it's another glaring example of the selective moral policing of our gov and society.

I don't smoke, never have, probably never will but the Government telling people they can't grow a plant is fucking bullshit and only exists so people buy expensive prescription drugs and don't self medicate.
That said, Colorado was stupid to allow the government to profit from their efforts. It should be legal without tax, period. Why pay additional tax to the government that holds you down. Fuck that.

Because there is a very serious public health issue arising from the over-prescribing, and misuse of antibiotics, and it has nothing to do with crime, and it affects EVERYONE.

I've seen way too many people around here ruin their lives over drugs, as well as cause accidents and endanger others because of their poor choices. There's no way I would ever support legalizing it.

This.  Also not allowed based on the nature of my job, which no state law can change.

I imagine those who are against legalization of weed as the same folks who would have supported prohibition in the 20s.
Link Posted: 1/17/2017 1:40:49 PM EDT

Prohibition doesn't work and is an exercise in futility. I live in a nice town, and I could walk up to any teenager and find weed within the hour. This is how it would work with guns being banned, and how it did work in the past with alcohol. Only an ideological moron would believe that prohibition works, especially with something as simple as a plant.

Like so many things in life, I just don't give a shit anymore.

I work, I take care of my family, I pay taxes, I work, I take care of my family, I pay taxes.

If someone wants to smoke pot or whatever, I don't care.

Just don't ask me to buy it for them, or pay to keep it from them.

Legalize it, no tax, pull federal taxes off of tobacco and alcohol, too.

if the states want to sin tax shit, that's their business.

Drug prohibition laws are foolish.

Drunk drivers are much more of a threat to society than potheads, cocaine users, or heroin addicts.

I'm guessing from people flushing pills and it getting in the water? Not being a smart ass, but I've heard of that being a huge problem nobody talks about.

I think it stinks, I hate the culture surrounding it, and pot heads are annoying as hell, but with that said, I really don't care either way.  It should be up to the people of a particular state whether or not to legalize it.  I will accept whatever choice they make.

No. The rise of antibiotic resistant super-bugs like MRSA, etc. Same thing is happening from anti-bacterial soap, which should rightfully be banned as well. Plain soap and water is a fantastic hand cleaner.
