I'm sick of the backs popping off by hitting my vest.

Check out the Blackhawk tactical gear catalog...

They contract with a company that does exactly what your looking for...

I pin mine on the top of the pocket flap and the dammits are in my pocket if they fall off.

I've seen folks use old credit cards as a backing...seems to work for them.

our SOP places it here too, just under the lowest seam of the pocket flap. the clutches have a better chance of falling into your pocket for sure.

or you can get those rubber centered ones from Gall's or Quartermaster, etc.

Just use EARRING BACKS instead of the conventional backs that come with the nameplate.

Get them from your girlfriend/wife, or any jewelry store.

They fit MUCH tighter than the others. Since I've been using earring backs, I haven't had one come off in about 2 years now!!!!!

THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

You are welcome.

Easiest solution of all? Duct tape over them on the inside of your uniform. Keeps them from rubbing off and even if the plate does come off, the backing is held in place.

I've got a piece of cardboard between the back of my shirt and the backers. I use the metal backers.

I'll still have one occasionally fall off though. Duct tape sounds like a good idea.
