Seriously WTF? I thought I'd get one as a Christmas present and can't find one anywhere?

Is Keltec just behind on production or what?

Keltec is in a constant state of 'behind in production', it doesn't matter what model you are talking about.

My understanding is that KT only has the production ability to make 1 type of gun at once and they just haven't made any runs of 'em recently.

When you can find one, they're carrying a big premium over msrp.

My suggestion is to look at armslist- and local shows.

I had posted an ar15 upper for sale on FB a few weeks ago and had 3 sub 2ks offered on trade.  I haven't seen one in months then 3 offers on trade in a matter of a few days.

I've seen several .40 cals at the last few shows. I just don't want to pay $550 for a weapon in a caliber that I don't already 'stock'.

I paid 460 OTD for a new one last year.

Glock 17 model.

I know a paid a little more than I should have but let me tell you, it's worth it.

Awesome gun, and until someone else comes out with something reliable that folds to the size of a computer bag and takes glock mags you're left with few alternatives.

The only Kel-Tecs you can expect to regularly find are their .380 and 9mm pocket pistols.   Everything else is an absolute crap shoot.  I can count on one hand the combined number of RFBs, KSGs, and PMR-30s I've seen in person, and I go to easily 10 gun shows a year.

LOL....I should sell my S&W M59 gripped KT Sub-9 (metal receiver). Strike while the iron is hot.

I've been to the factory a few times, and they have different sections for the different types of guns. It looked like production was in full swing for all models, just demand has grown to enormous levels. I have had keltecs for years, and its awesome to see the demand for their products skyrocket. Not too long ago any mention of the brand would draw a majority of sneers, but now it seems the positive remarks are outweighing the negative ones. OP, they are available, however it seems people are now willing to pay a premium. The latest on GB is at $615! I'm by no means a fanboi, but I have been lucky enough to have Keltecs with no issues, other than a 13 year old sub9 with a worn mag catch spring. Here is a pic of the testing/walkin repair facility. The other buildings are to the right, and they are quite large buildings. The long strip section is a 100 yard indoor test range.

In all reality, I wish I could honestly believe that most people who want Keltec products will get them in a timely manner, but know it would not be true. Best of luck OP on your search!

Last one that sold on GB with the SW magwell was @709 IIRC. It was in Oct.

My FFL got one in 2 weeks ago, the Glock 9mm version. I was there when UPS dropped it off, I asked how much he said $340 . Yeah it went home with me.

I got lucky at a gun show last year and bought a new Sub 2000 (Glock 17 model) for $350.00.  The gal (from Pompano Beach), had 3 of them.

I love the thing!  I've never had a failure of any kind (my hand loads).  The 16" barrel turns the 9 mm into a hard hitting round out to 100 yards or so.  Lots of fun to shoot!

They're kind of scarce from what I've seen.

You could probably come close to doubling that without much effort, if my experience is any indication.

That got me thinking till I pulled out the Pelican case I have it (and all the junk for it) fitted into and decided....Nah.

LOL....Can't have too many folding 9mm carbines.

Glad I snagged mine when I did about a year ago. My only complaint is that it's a Berretta-mag version rather than a Glock mag, but oh well...

So now I have the needed mags for it, and once I snag a decent case, it will become my trunk gun.
