Do you wonder if they are one of the people saying it in the hopes that  it being said will make it so?

Or, if they are one of the people who have been tricked by the people saying it in hopes that it will become so?

History has proven that anything is possible.

That's what they said about Reagan in 1980.

But guess what?   They elected the Prophet from Palm Springs.

When I say Hillary Clinton has no chance of winning, I'm saying it because she really has no chance in even getting her parties nominations.

What about when someone says it about a candidate in their own party running for the primary election?

I always think of a MSM parroting mental midget when I hear that line.

It is their number one way of discrediting anyone not approved.

When people in the last few elections have pointed out that Ron Paul had "no chance of winning" they were 100 % correct

Just because some people say things out of wishful thinking, does not mean that other peoples' analysis is incorrect.

Molotov357 has it right

Usually followed by ".....he's a libertarian presidential candidate."

And they're always right.

How do you know that he did not lose because people were being told that he was going to lose. From the beginning he was a candidate that people took time out of their day specifically to discredit. Even the media jumped on this wagon.

I am sure that John Stewart had an alternate agenda with what he was doing but the segment he put together still points out what I'm saying.

I bring all of this up because there are candidates in this upcoming race that I'm starting to hear the same rhetoric about.

When you hear it early on, it seems like it is mostly wishful thinking.  Basically just a way to discredit a candidate when you don't have any good reasons to do so.

Later on, it will usually be because they did/said something really fucking stupid.

Mostly, though, it seems like it is really just the way that the MSM tries to tell you who you should/should not vote for..

Mostly its people in the main stream media and consultants on cable talk shows saying that.  They both have the same agenda - elect more marxists.

No offense, but if you do not understand how Ron Paul NEVER had the slightest chance of becoming President of the United States, I am not sure a serious conversation is even possible.

I think I understand what you're saying. Probably a lot bigger picture involved than the one I was pointing out.
