What I mean, is what color are your "glasses" when it comes to your major filter?

Guns?

Love?

Family?

Money?

Religion?

"Gut feeling"?

When you make a major decision, like where to live, what job to get, the woman/man you date or marry, what neighborhood to live in , what politician to pick, etc., what it the most major influence in how you come to your final decision?

For me, it is Love and Money.  Quite honestly, guns are becoming less and less a factor in my life and my decision making process.

The RKBA is the ultimate foundation upon which all other rights are based.  Thus, the way a state approaches that subject, in large part, is inidicative of how it approaches other individual rights.

Money.

What's the point of living somewhere where you can't afford the rent and don't have a job?

I fear some of you have  your priorities mixed up.

Your FAMILY should be the most important thing to you.

I guess some of you are young and not married - or are estranged from your family.

While I would hate to move to NY or CA, I would if it meant a better life for my family.

I'd have to say none of the above. Although gun laws are a major factor, I would go with the area. I like space, and woods. Mountains are always nice. Of course I wouldn't live in a state that was a gun control state.

our decision to come to northern Idaho was for the proximity to the forest lands, miles of wilderness, long hunting seasons,  the low crime, mountain resorts for snowboarding, home schooling laws giving the parent the control,  mild winters  (compared to midwest).

The pay for workers is lousy but we don't work anyway.  real estate is high around here  now unless you go 35-40 miles off the beaten path.

Quality of Life for my Family.

That means freedom to enjoy our beliefs in God, Country and ability to exersice those freedoms by homeschooling our kids, enjoying the outdoors. Our course one must have the ability to protect those freedoms also.

Money is not the most important, money won't save you, won't keep you free, won't save your marriage, or produce children of integrety and character qualities you will be proud of.

Guns. Though I lived in a state that only recently got CCW.

I'm a south park republican, and vote republican mainly for the gun issue.

But more to your posted question, this is also the reason I have to live somewhere rural, or semi rural at least.

Shooting in my back yard is a great pleasure.

And also the reason I married a woman who understood where I was comming from, and how important the gun issue is to me.

So really, to me, it all ties together......
