I spent just over $9 for lunch at Taco Bell today. 2 chulupa / 1 taco deal with diet Coke = $9.10. What the heck, that's a Baja Fresh price! This was on Fort Belvoir too, not at some airport.
I remember when you could eat like a KING for < $5 at Taco Bell. |
you should go to a taqueria, you can get a better deal
a super buritto & all the fresh salsa w / chips you can eat and probably for less than $9 |
Yeah, I can go across the street to chipolte and for that price and get something that way more filling and better for me.
Thankfully we have Qudoba around here. Prices on par with Taco Hell but 100 times better in quality.

I think the AAFES rocket scientist tacobell employees sober enough to show up to work today might have hosed you on that one.
The inexpensive Taco Bell lunch is no more, so sad. I still go though.
+1 for going to Chipotle or to one of the local places where the people barely speak English but damn is the food good.
Add the cost of a bottle of Pepto Bismol and a pair of new underwear and you could have eaten at Outback Steakhouse.

And people get pissed because we charge $4 for two big slices of pizza and a 16oz drink.

My local mexican joint:
Chipotle size burrito stuffed with carne asada. beans, guacamole, salsa in a home made tortilla. Bag of chips with as much salsa as you want Side of beans and rice if you're really really hungry. $8 out the door. |

Just the thought of Mexican food, particularly Taco Hell, makes me want to curl up and die right now.
Of course, I have been sick all week, puked my guts out Tuesday night and had my first solid food tonight . . . about 2-3ozs of pasta, kinda want to throw up anyway. |
There's no way that legitimately cost $9.
Check your receipt. |
When I go to Taco Bell, I usually get a six pack of original tacos and a soda. It always costs around $9. I remember the days they cost .59 ea. and now they are $1.19 ea.

Two big chicken tacos with homemade sauce and a large coke...$5.95 at my local guy's deli...$4.95 for Al Pastor or Carne. He's from Mexico City but is a citizen and supplements the deli with some good mexican stuff.

I really miss the poorly named chilitos for a buck. Now known as the 'Chili-cheese burrito' and costs almost $2.......so tasty. |

Are they not offering the $5 Box in your area? It's probably the best deal in fast food as far as the amount of food goes. I typically can't finish and have to eat some of it the next day.
Taco bueno is still better and cheaper than taco bell, but it's not a national chain.... yet. they're finally growing outside of Texas, though, so y'all hang in there.
It's gotten a bit rediculous. I love TB, but a way better meal at an authentic mexican restaurant has become less expensive. |
2 or 3 of those 5 layer beef burritos will stuff you. |
a coworker of mine and I went to taco bell a couple of days ago for the first time in months (used to eat there quite a bit).
Afterwards, we both felt sluggish and blah for lack of a better term the rest of the day. I think it's because we've been eating less and less of shitty fast food, and all of the preservatives make it nasty. |

+1 for going to Chipotle or to one of the local places where the people barely speak English but damn is the food good. Chipotle is overpriced. I can go to a chain here called Alberto's and get a burrito just as big and just as delicious (albeit in a different way) with a lot more meat in it for half the price of a burrito at Chipotle. For the Chipotle prices I can get a side order and a drink on top of the burrito at Alberto's. |

I have noticed the price of ALL fast food is way up. I remember not long ago EVERYWHERE had 2.99 combo's, then they became 3.99 combo's now they are like 6.50 combo's add a kicker and tax and you are over 9 bucks real quick. sucks....
2 5-layer burritos and a drink.
You won't spend much, you will be full, and you will still get that shit-your-pants taco hell experience you've all come to know and love. |
Damn, $9 for Taco Hell?
No thanks. I noticed that Subway subs are back up in price now as well. |
Quoted: Quoted: There's no way that legitimately cost $9. Check your receipt. This. Some of them have higher prices than others. The Taco Bell in Weed, CA has ridiculous prices as well. |

That will fill you up for sure. Or get their $2 meal deals. |
Two cheesy double beef burritos. 99 cents each.
Soda. 3 bucks and change. |
Too bad you didn't go to Del Taco yesterday between 3-8pm. You could get 12 tacos for $3.75.
You're doing it wrong. 2 dollar meal deal and a bean burrito. $3.19 and tax.
You can still grub for cheap at Taco Hell. |
