THAT'S WHEN my SO's START calling! lol!

We're all night-shifters though

It isn't appropriate to call my house after 9pm either.  If the house phone rings after 9,  I answer and I tell whomever it is, unless it is an ememrgency, you DO NOT call this house after 9pm.  I usually get well ok, sorry I wasn't aware of that, can I talk to so&so? I repeat my statement of emergency, no calls after 9 and ask them if it is an emergency, which it never is and I tell them to call back tomorrow.
Talk about some pissed off kids.

.. for people to call after 9pm at night?

I work strange schedules, I know, but there's a whole window between 2p-9p that I am GUARANTEED to be awake.

When I am on days, I get up at 5am to go to the gym.  I've been on call and working days this week so I can't turn my phone off at night.  I have received NO LESS than six calls from five different guys after 9:30pm at night.

ARGGGGGG!!!!

I'm sensing a bigger issue here...

That pisses me off to no end as well.  My boss will call me at quater til 10 to tell me that I need to call someone.  My new policy is never to answer the phone after 9 if it is work related (caller ID is great)

I think my cutoff is 1AM at night - with a bunch of friends on the west coast, it happens .. although I usually reserve the right to call them at 9AM EST on the weekends.

9:00 PM is my cutoff.

I don't call anyone after that time, and things are winding down in my house.

Try having my mother-in-law. Anytime is fair game, from before 7:00 in the morning 'til after 9:00 in the evening. I never, ever call anyone after nine unless they specifically say they will be up. I never get to bed before ten but my mother-in-law calls at least twice a day, usually three or more times a day and it really pisses me off to hear the phone ring again after nine. My wife tryies to get to bed around 9:30 or so, but she can't as long as her mother has access to a damn phone.

If you think they are booty calls, you're mistaken.

A couple of them are just friends and a couple are men that I have dated and may go out with again but nobody's getting any.

Unless they are gay, they are not "just friends".

They are acting like "just friends" to get in your pants.

I don't call before 8am, and after 9pm unless the person specifically tells me I can, either on that one occation, or routinely.

No calls before 8am or after 9pm.  Only problem is that all of my in-laws live in other time zones (RI and FL) and none of them can understand time zones.  One brother-in-law calls at 7am on Saturdays when he needs help with his crossword puzzles.

Also, I have had to explain to several boys that calling my daughters at 10:30pm is not allowed, not appropriate, and will put them on my shit list real damn quick.

Really, J?  Awfully sour for this time of the morning.

Would you feel better if you reposted some of your pictures and I'll gather up some women on the board to swoon over you?

Still bitter that i chose to do laundry over having dinner with you last year? It's been a year now. It's time to move on. Do you need some closure?

I dont call people after 8pm. I let the machine answer to phone ALL the time unless the wife is out and about at night. Hell I normaly wait at least a day before I will return a call, so most people call me at work. Why dont you screen your calls ????????????
To answer your question.
I think the time to stop calling is now between friends. 20 years ago we didnt have the global world we live in today. People work shifts more often, plenty of people are just too hard to get hold of during the day because they are SO busy and the work week is no longer 8 to 5 anymore. East coast, west coast hell I have friends half way across the world who call at 3am and Im happy to take the call if they are my friend.

What Im getting at is you call these people friends and they dont know the cut off time to not call ???
If their friends tell'em to STFU and stop calling after 9. Like big Edsr says if their your friend you should have to say your sorry for speaking the truth.

I hear you. I've gotten calls as last as midnight and as early as 5:30am. I've noticed during shooting campouts, it's popular among some to call members in other states at 3:00am and tell them how much fun you're having.
