I'm not very lucky, I found a $20 bill in a parking lot one time, but my cousin in Miami found 15K in a tote bag hidden in some sea oats on the beach in Miami, it most likely being drug money, he did not turn it in but did buy a new Jeep!!

Did your cousin in Miami happen to lose about 15 large in coke?

Shit...$20 is the most I ever found too... I'm still wondering why I can't be the guy following the armored car when the back door flys open and a few bags of money fall out. That and hitting the lottery....LOL.

I found a credit card at the store today - I'm sure I could have turned that into a lot of $$$ if I wasn't honest.

I got paid twice by my insurance company. It was for about 900 bucks. I got one check, and after a few days go by they send me another one for the same amount. I called them and told them about it and the Company insisted I keep it.

I am the bouncer in a local bar and when the local college graduated, they all came by for a good time. They were all dancing and I was keeping the peace and ,whoa, I look down and find sixty bucks, naturally I look around and about ten feet to my left and HOLY SH*T...Eighty bucks. I tell you, I was on cloud Nine for the rest of the night. Thats 140$ for nothing. Overall with tips I made over $400 for five hours of work that night. Alex [flag]

I took my Paramedic class in 1996. The school records show that I had payed the $2500 fee.....I never did, they screwed up somehow. I told them I had never paid...being the honest person I am...but they stated that they keep accurate records....and I still have not paid to this day.... I figured it was a mistake that whoever made it noticed it, but was afraid to correct it out of fear of getting into trouble for making it.... but hey...I am not complaining.....free paramedic program!

When I was a kid I found $20 on the ground at the arcade. To a 10 year old back then that was alot of money. Then there was this time at the fun show. I was walking around and some guy tells me: "hey there is something stuck to your shoe". I looked down and saw a $50 bill!

TRW, The armored car thing happened a few years ago in Detroit... the doors in the back came open and a sack of money fell out and exploded money all over the highway... Cars stopped and people were scrambling to pick up the cash on the side of the road... the news showed up filming all of this. The driver of the armored car tried to write down as many license plates as he could get. A few days later the cops announced on TV that they would offer a period of amnesty to those who wished to turn the money back in then they were going to review the news footage and come to their door and arrest them IF they could figure out who was who... yeah right! I'd wait for that knock too! M.

I found $20 Dollars while snorkling in Jamaica. Unfortunately it was Jamaican currency. About $4.00 at that time. Plus I believe it fell out of my back pocket a few minutes earlier. [:P] Last year I received $400.00 for Hail damage to my jeep. I pocketed the money because... ITS A JEEP! I also had the glove box and center console broken into. Got about 300 for those and didn't fix anything... why? ITS A JEEP!

dont worry medcop-no good deed goes unpunished- the gov (school) will wait 6 years until it notices you did not pay, then will charge you 18% interest per year on your original 2500 bucks.

Back when I was in 9th grade (1966) I found a $100 bill lying on the street in Wilson, NC. I actually turned it into the police station and 30 days later they called to say that no one had claimed it and it was mine.

$50 bill on the floor in front of the bar at the Cheetah III in Atlanta. My bro-in-law Mike is the world champ! He taught me long ago to always scan the floor in bars. I still find money, but not like I did in the old days when quaaludes were popular! [BD] But it's there. One time we were going fishing at o'dark-30 and Mike thought he saw a wallet in the road. 10 miles later he hits the brakes and says "we're going back". It WAS a wallet - no ID, no pics, no nothing - except $500 in cash. Another time we were sitting in the car waiting for the K-mart to open, it was windy as hell with litter blowing around. He gets out and walks 100 yards and picks up something. Gets back to the car - it's a $10 bill, and he's grinning like a cheshire cat. Says "I was hoping it was a $100". He finds money all the time!

In all seriousness, one time I parked in the supermarket lot & found a womens wallet in a nearby shopping cart. It had over $700.00 + credit cards, ID, etc. I took it all to the police dept.

I found $200 in a bank on a counter. I thought about taking it, but told a teller about it, and she said ". . . so-and-so must have left it . . .". Part of me thinks the teller pocketed it . . . The largest sum I found and [i]kept[/i] is $10.

i got a true story that will top everybodys. This happend last week a matter of fact. My father decided to transfer 46,000 dollars from one account to another. The bank transfered the funds as requested. BUT ALSO mailed him a check for the same ammount. Needless to say he returned the check to the bank.

I found $.75 in my mother's purse one time when I was 10. I then felt guilty about it and returned it, only to get caught in the process of returning it. Does that count? Also found $20 cash in the Winn Dixie grocery store I worked at, while helping out the produce guy. Steven L.

I was at the range with the little lady, and while she's loading up a mag, I wander back to my range bag to get some targets. Something catches my eye among all the targets on the floor. A target that looks like a president. I pick it up, and it's a stack of $50's. Had to be a half-inch thick. I show it the little lady, and since she can't hear me with the ear protection in, she starts yelling at me for flashing my cash around (like I ever had that much). I'm trying to mime "but I found it!" I promptly took it to the store counter. I figured the rightful owner has a gun and a need for large cash transactions, so he's one up on me!

I once found a large garden of mature skunk #1(50 plants) while hunting. Sniped a large cola and left a note for the grower to be more careful hideing his plants. Left the rest alone. [smoke][whacko]

Worked at WalMart when I was in high school. Pushing shopping carts one day and found a purse in the parking lot. Took it inside to the manager. She called the lady and told her that her purse was found in the parking lot. She came to get it and gave me a $100 reward. She then showed me what was in the purse...$2500 in cash and three checks that totalled to be about $3000 that she had already signed!!!

Found a $100 bill crumpled up in the parking lot at the local mall. I had just received one of the worst haircuts in all of existence and thought that the Almighty sent it to me as kind of a "sorry about your nasty 'do" kind of thing.

My favorite was when FLorida came out with the 50 Grand lottery game. It was a scratch off game. Before it, all games required a person to match 3 numbers to win. 50 Grand worked by matching 1 of 2 winning numbers to a row of numbers. This meant that persons thought they had lost when they in fact won. I found $5, $10, $40, $60, and even $100 winning tickets in the garbage can at the Convinience Stores. I wasn't 18 at the time, so I had another person cash 'em and got 50% of the money. I've found various amounts up to $20 on the street, and $14 in a garbage can. I once found a $20 bill in a Convinence Store. I took it to the guy (Foreigner) who ran the place and asked if anybody lost it. He said he'd take it and see if anybody claimed it. After I was outside I saw him slip it in his pocket. And of course when I asked if anybody claimed it later, he said some old lady claimed it. Yeah Right !!! I used a free ticket 50 grand I found to get a free ticket worth $27. If you want to count it, lots of change in the seats of my couch, when I have guests. I tend to bounce and make their money fall out. The bank gave me $100 extra once. I deposited some money and they credited an extra $100. Sure enough, about a month later they caught their mistake and sent me a notice that my account had been debited for the $100, they accidently gave me. The other day I bought some stuff at a Wal-Mart. When I got home, I realized the woman had not scanned an item, since the cost was about half what it should have been. They'll probably write it off. I saw one item ring up as half of the quantity the box contained.
