Is it Falcon?

Anyone know if ace-combat 5 will be released for pc?

Help a guy out, I just got a new stick and want to play.

Thanks

Oh, links to any free ones, or ones with free demo's appreciated.

Thanks

As old as the original is, Falcon 4.0, with the add-ons, is hard to beat.

European Air War.
The WW2 flight sims are the best. Dogfighting beats the hell out of launching a AAM from miles away.

You have to specify whether you want a very realistic sim or a fun arcade game. There are good ones in both categories, it depends on your preference. For realism I think the Falcon or IL-2 series are great. I'm not too familiar with arcade type flight sims. If you include space, then any of the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games are awesome.

After playing that game, I gain new respect for the German fighter pilots attacking formations of B-17's and B-24's. Almost a guaranteed suicide mission going against all those massed .50's.

E.A.W. withouth a doubt....P-40's.P-47's---P-51"s,a little dated in the graphics but still the longest lasting most immersive game around.

IL2.

Pacific Fighters just hit store shelves this week. It's by the same guys that created IL2.

Haven't checked it out yet myself though, but it looks pretty promising.

LOMAC and the IL2 family are all you need. Calling the 'Aces High' series flight sims is like calling Hogans Alley a shooting sim; disgraceful!

The Falcon series is still alive and kicking, and there is (on again/off again) a sequel in the works, but LOMAC is a superior modern sim, IMO. Of course, there are tons of free add-ons for Falcon IV that make it still awesome, but...

IL-2 by far in my opinion if you like airplanes.

Personally, I like helo sims. Rah-66 vs Hokum. Thats a fun fuckin game. Comanche is pretty damned good too.

Does XBOX have any really good combat flight sims?
